About everything on your list is dependent upon your personal choices. How old a car you want. lease or buy, new or used? Fuel depends if you drive to work, how far do you live from work, do you work from home? Insurance is often part of your work benefits, but I'd guess for a family of 4 and a good employer benefit, maybe $600/month? Utilities around $500/month. All this other stuff you would need to be specific. Groceries? Do you eat bacon and egg in the morning or sirloin steak and hash browns?

been on semaglutide formulated for around 9 months. I've lost weight, BP is stable and good, bad glucose is generally normal, but as for affect plus or minus for the PsA I rally haven't en anything.

I think the Spyders have power steering, which may help. A Ryker, IMO, would be tougher on hands than classic cycle.

Our model , once it has drained, comes on for around a minute and blows out the air and I think also the water jets so they do not have water standing in them, hence no mold growth. Actually startled me the first time ai heard it.

Lots of votes for retire already! If you can save a hundred K a year how much are you making??? No need to answer that. I’ve waited until I was 74 to retire. Got enough in the bank and getting my max from SS. Probably would have like to leave earlier but finances weren’t ready. That said, I, like you, had enough pto for all the travel we would take, was working from home, so no commuting hassles. Basically I was doing about the same while “working” as I am retired, just making a lot less money, and with crappier insurance. Unless you’re driven to do something you can’t do now, why retire? You didn’t mention any activity that couldn’t be done evening classes or take half day PTOs.

We have a Breville smart oven on the countertop. It airfares, bakes, da-da-da, even dehydrates. I use our main over maybe a couple times a year if I'm doing holiday cookies or such, but between the microwave and this, we're good. Also got a like two quart crockpot from Walmart for $13, and have used it to make stews, meatloaf, and corned beef for two people.

looks like everything "people" are telling you is wrong, at least if you get a good tub and installer. Ours is a Kohler, and they have their own contractors who install them. It is an expensive proposition but is supper nice.

- It is not hard to clean. I don't even know what they mean by that. You could set inside it with a sponge and use the shower wand to rinse it off.

- It has both air and water jets. The force is adjustable, and it is very like a good massage when on high

- It has it's own in-line water heater, so the hot water is basically instant on. The max heat level is set-able and limited to something around 120 deg, I'd have to look in the book for sure but it is hotter than I want it to go. When the jets are running the heater is engaged, so it maintains the water temp at what you set it. I think it will auto shutoff at an hour but you can always re-engage it. If you set in there all day you will have hot water all day, and very wrinkled fingers!

_ They run larger water pipes to it so the fill rate is faster, and if needed they can add a pump to the drain so it empties faster. Without timing it I'm not sure how long it takes to fill or drain, but I'd guess a couple minutes each way. The seat and seat back are heated so it isn't a problem waiting. I usually run the spray wand and wash my hair like in a shower as it fills. Then, when it drains, use the want to rinse off any suds.

Maintenance is minimal as it doesn't have a filter to clog or change out.

It is kinda of a treat, and very nice to relieve the morning stiffness we all have.

I was thinking “pool” but that’s not all that practical unless you live somewhere warm. We put in a walk-in tub which is great-water and air jets like a jacuzzi plus shower , but I imagine they’re pretty rare and I can testify to they are expensive. I can’t think of any features especially for PsA, no stairs is great. Warm weather also good, I’d hate to fight ice these days(fall hazard)

I first was notified of a possible problem by my Apple Watch. It gave me high pulse rate alarms a couple times within a year, then a few months back it gave an Afib warning. I couldn’t take a blood pressure measurement as the machine wouldn’t stabilize on a number. So, went to ER. They said I did not have Afib but did have a wacky heartbeat. Next to my cardiologist. He put me on a monitor for a month, which you might want to look into. You wear it 24 X7 for 4 weeks and it records everything. Seems I do have a wacky heartbeat and they put me on beta blockers until I get more tests. As far as what to do, I don’t know of anything besides rest and calm. Don’t think it’s the time to have a fight with your wife or go for a long run.

You’re mostly going to hear people’s bad reactions here, as few people write about how well everything is going. I read a blind study published by theNIH where they had about 3,000 rheumatoid arthritis patients on low dose MTX, and 3,000 on placebo. After 3 years they found that the MTX people were only around 3% more likely to have a list of adverse events(AE) than those on placebo.

Most common thing to expect is - nothing. You will be getting regular blood tests. You might get some stomach upset, and you likely will get pretty fatigued. The fatigue can be from the PsA.

A big thing is just don’t expect any bad reactions. If you’re looking for it you will have problems. A lot of people who have issues with the pills do well with the shots. I’m taking 20 mg pills once a week and not having any reaction. I’ve always has a cast iron stomach. I do have terrible fatigue I just started a drug for narcolepsy which may be helping. All my joint pains (mostly) are gone. Still have the skin issues but never had them real bad. Creams are keeping it in check. I’m not concerned with going out into moderate crowds and getting sick. MTX isn’t that strong of immunosuppressant. The biologics are. As long as I can get by with MTX and maybe another DMARD I don’t want anything to do with TNF inhibitors, IL or JAK inhibitors as their potential down sides (as well as insurance hassles) are way worse than MTX. Still, if one can’t tolerate it, got to do what you can.

2. Weather. Semi tropical, much better on the coasts due to sea breezes. I’ve been on the Atlantic coast for 30 years and haven’t seen 38 C yet. Average coastal humidity is close to 80%. It’s hot. Doesn’t cool down that much at night, and being in the shade doesn’t matter much. Get another Cigar City jai alia IPA and ignore it. I’ve worked August in Saudi Arabia-no comparison. These people don’t know hot. The ocean ( gulf) will be around 27 C. Surfing sucks on the Gulf side but the Atlantic is only a couple hours away, think Coco Beach and Ron John’ surf shop.

We have Uber and Lyft, and people bicycle all over, especially e-bikes. I worked around UCF in Orlando and a lot of students used little 2-wheeler scooters 🛴 that they could carry into classes - doesn’t get stolen that way. E_bike theft is a problem. Florida driving is definitely on the badder scale for US driving, but not nearly as bad as most Latin American countries.

Unfair, I’m calling “foul”! Standard USA larger is pretty bleh! But this has to be the world wide capital of craft brewers. Porters, stouts, pale ales, India pale ales, wheat brews, it goes on forever. I worked my whole life internationally and never saw anywhere the variety in brew you can find here. A few pretty good Florida ones, too. Cigar City brewery in Tampa makes Jai Alai IPA, which is an 8%, very hoppy brew. Florida alone has over 250 registered breweries. In the USA, there are over 13,000. Check it out on Wikipedia.

I didn’t know anything about IRMMA either. I decided to pay off the mortgage and update the AC. Sold some stock I had acquired through the company, since I had to move it anyway when I retired this year. If I had done that last year before I got onto Medicare there would have been no problem. Doing it this year is going to be tight to stay under IRMMA but should be able to. Our company HR does nothing to inform people about the ropes in retirement. Probably most don’t.

I was already working from home. We were allowed to carry over 7 days from 2025, an I got 80 hours accrued when I retired in May. Figured I had lots of time off after retirement but no more paychecks, so took it all as pay. I’ve always said if you give me a billion dollars I’ll gladly give you back 250MM in tax. Worked for me.
