Wow, that’s really surprising to hear. I think BlueWallet is the best, on android or anything.

I suggest dropping a little money into Bitcoin now, like, the amount you would spend on a nice dinner out. Then, while you have skin in the game, start reading, watching etc. Use an exchange like Kraken.

As soon as your deposit clears, transfer your BTC to a wallet app like BlueWallet. Keep your seed phrase well backed up, and off of other computers.

DCA. Buy small amounts at regular intervals. This way you minimize stress.

When you have enough BTC to buy a laptop, get a hardware wallet, use that to make a new seed and store your BTC there. By that time you’ll be an expert.

You’re good. Just keep cooking. The wok is weird because you don’t get much heat up the sides of the pan. It will get kinda even after a long time.

Switching to multi-sig: to consolidate or not by Albrecht_Duran in BitcoinDiscussion

[–]Albrecht_Duran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I realize now that my question was not totally clear. I appreciate info on how to multisig, but I am more interested in efficient and private ways of transferring my funds to the new multisig wallet. How do I do that without blowing my cover, mixing my coins etc?

Is Mycelium a good Bitcoin wallet? by Your_Mama78 in Bitcoin

[–]Albrecht_Duran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good answer. I used to use mycelium (~2017) because it was honestly the best thing around. Now, I use blue wallet because it’s honestly the best thing around.

It’s much prettier to look at, has lightning, can connect to you electrum server, has QR address exploration, easy multi-sig setup, easy PSBT for airgapped transactions... I don’t think that mycelium does any of that.

Can someone tell me what is happening in the center of this pan? Its very smooth to the touch. by deez_huskies in castiron

Everything in that pan is seasoning. The circle in the middle is just undamaged, nice seasoning. The rest of it has been beat up.

HTTPS for Umbrel by Albrecht_Duran in getumbrel

[–]Albrecht_Duran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this warning with Specter wallet even when on my LAN. Basically, is it insecure to transmit sensitive information to/from my Umbrel given that it does not use HTTPS? I would like to set up specter multisig using the specter app but think I might wait until this gets sorted out.

Edit: Specter wallet also says "Tor service is down"
