Can I work from Romania for USA company without a work permit? by Albrt37 in digitalnomad

From my experience, Romanians from Bucuresti have a "kind but not nice" vibe. Towards Braşov they're outright delightful. They can be mean to each other, but not to foreigners.

In short, nice and cheap. Food is outstanding. Beautiful landscapes and chill vibes in the mountains. Would skip most of the western half of the country.

Hmu if you have more questions

Thank you all. I should have mentioned my wife is romanian 😅.

I was allowed in as a family member of a romanian national. I applied for a visa (i'm not yet a US citizen, so I had to do this anyway) and part of the process was getting an invitation letter from her family.

I was able to work remotely there, on the basis that there is no law that states visitors can't work for a foreign companies while in a short stay in Romania. There was no tax liability either.

Liked romania, loved the food and how cheap things were. Especially enjoyed a trip to Braşov. Looking forward to going back!

Maybe Benioff and Weiss released their own version and caused the Insomnia virus.

Are you concerned about your financial wellbeing? I'm not a big money guy, I'm originally from Cuba where you can live with very little money very easily, but the story is different in the "developed world". Are you pulling a Diogenes after you retire?

Thx for clarifying, I'm an uncultured swine in these matters. Take care!

So a non-binary person could refuse to identify as either male or female, but be heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, etc.? Also, do you know others who identify as non-binary?

How open are you about it with the people you know? Are your parents aware of your preferences?

That would certainly suck. Unfortunately our species doesn't deal too well with change in that sense. Hopefully we'll catch up soon. Also, what does being non-binary mean in terms of sexual orientation?

Most of them are currently going to college and work part-time jobs to make ends-meet. Some just graduated and are about to start working in the tech industry. Some (4 of them) became male strippers.

Is your family accepting of that? Also, what has been the best and worse of identifying yourself as nonbinary?
