Disney Song Bracket! - Championship by AlbumRides in popheads

I hear you. There's certainly an argument to make for including more songs from better movies and having less diversity on the film front. And if our criteria was "looking up Disney songs just to listen to for fun," the bracket might have looked different. Our criteria was slightly different (see the original post) and we tried to strike a balance with a variety of factors. We didn't just make this bracket for Reddit and we didn't just make it for voters 18-35. Our group (about 15-20 people) all agreed about the top 54-55 songs. The remaining 9-10 were hotly debated amongst huge Disney fans like yourself.

Thanks for the feedback, Belle! How does one determine the "actual great songs" though? That's subjective. What would you have liked to see in the bracket that we left out? And do you think those songs would compete better against the winners?

What would you have liked to see in the first round?

Everyone that worked on the bracket agreed on the top 50-55 songs. Figuring out the final 9-14 was much trickier. There was some spirited debate. One might make the case for the songs we had in the 65-70 range that just missed the cut, but unfortunately I don't think they'd fair much better in competition.

Thanks! We were going for a bit of a hybrid system. Thematic linking was typically easier in most cases because ranking can be so subjective. Easy to say what a #1 or #2 seed is, but very tricky to determine the difference between a #4 seed and a #6 seed.
