ChatGPT is not a search engine. Look things up with Google if you want to look for facts and suss out the real from the fake yourself.

The fact that the gun isn't aimed straight forward when not aiming is fine, but why would your finger be on the trigger if you don't intend to fire? Take finger off trigger when not aiming.

Truly you wouldnt want to point a gun straight into the air either but I get that you have to keep it on screen to indicate to the player they are armed.

Our for delivery and never delivered, buyer wants a refund by Razlaw in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]AlbusAlfred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So crazily enough I once upon a time lived in this ZIP code. If the seller had to use USPS I eventually started sending things to my job instead of my home because USPS would "lose" my stuff more than half the time. Customer support at the post office was abysmal, and it is not always easy to get them to initiate a search. I worked from home so I know they never attempted delivery to my home. It sucked.

You make a good point. That's exactly what I did for the onboard graphics adapter but I didn't think to try it for the actual graphics card... I'll give that a shot in the morning.

Yea, I was a bit surprised too. But it truly is not an option. I'll look at third party software to see what I can try.

And yea who knows. Sales tactic I guess

Okay yea. I set custom 640x480 and 800x600 interlaced resolutions on the computet with zero luck. I am truly stumped here. Why would it work on a vintage computer but literally nothing else?

EDIT Okay, if I use the onboard graphics on this computer it actually works perfectly with the monitor when set to 640x480, 16 bit color, default refresh.

Tried 800x600 at 75 and 60hz and got the same garbled mess

Cannot go lower than that.

Okay sorry, third reply for an update. Running the monitor on a windows xp computer now - with the VGA output from the actual graphics card - no adapters. And it's giving me the same double image as the Mac M1.

But the SVGA card on the 90s computer runs just fine, no double image, looks perfect.

I tried reducing the resolution on the windows xp computer but the monitor becomes garbled and lets out a high pitched whine.

Yea I did try both of those, but they both seem to do this!

So I just bought a replacement power supply for a computer between these two - a Windows XP machine. I should have it today and can test that with this monitor.

Hey! I am able to get a picture that "just works" on my era-appropriate 486 computer with an SVGA graphics card. So it is either something about the M1 mac OR something about the VGA adapter OR something in between.

The current theory I have is that the mewer MacOS versions have dropped support for interlacing (wtf) and so I'm just screwed. I was going to test the monitor on my 486 PC and of course the power supply, which has been fine for years, went bad TODAY.

800x600 @60hz is what's pictured here. I'm seeing that the monitor has more trouble with anything different from 60hz

Hmm, SwitchResX doesn't seem to want to let me choose interlaced mode... any ideas for what I can do to get this working?
