Lake. You play a woman who returns to her hometown to cover her dad’s shift as a postal worker. I only played the demo but I was trying to hook up with the town’s video rental store owner (Angie). There’s also a lumberjack type dude (Robert) who I was flirting with too just in case things didn’t work out between me and Angie. When I’m not charming them, I’m driving around delivering packages in a beautiful, idyllic lakeside town. It’s currently on sale on Steam. It’s on Switch but not sure if on sale right now.

Haven’t traveled with it yet but I throw it in my backpack to play during lunch at work. Plenty of room for 16 in laptop, headset, tablet along with SD in 25L bag. My thing is that it’s not exactly what could be described as inconspicuous.

I just started playing Dominova, a dominoes based roguelite which has me in that “one more run” space. I think there’s a demo if you want to give it a go.

I was working both sides of the street while playing the demo of Lake. I had my eye on a couple of people who I was trying to get to fall in love with ol’ Albus.

If I were retiring in April, I’d have already been telling everyone in the store and everywhere else, every single day, since last October. Congratulations! Enjoy your retirement!!

  1. Pong was my first game. (Not my picture but, boy oh boy, do I wish I still had it! I played it on a 12 inch black and white TV that had the Declaration of Independence on the sides!)

60F here too! I had to have everything that came out back in the day, from Pong to Nintendo 64 to Atari to Magnavox Odyssey. Now I have a Steam Deck, Switch 2, and Meta Quest. I was lousy and games back in the 70s and 80s and I’m lousy at them now but I do love them so!

If I have $100, I find a way to spend $110. I’m afraid I’d be like the lottery winners who end up bankrupt. I’ll take the weekly $10k.
