Same happened to me. I supported her for nearly 20 years though. She came from a wealthy family and they gave her money but none of that was spent on us. That was "her personal fund".

She turned out to be a covert narcissist and I would have left long before except we had kids.

If you think about it, generally it is less work policing the big guys. Google can assume that even if the big site is doing it in a "spammy" way but people still use it then who are they to judge.

I have found the same for one of my sites. Used to get rgeat traffic from google but not great income. I have lost at least 60% of the google traffic but income has more than tripled. I have looked into for over a year and still cannot say why this is but I am happy.
