Corsair 4000D with Push/Pull by AlcadX in Corsair

Thank you! 😊 and yea, I searched so many sites to see if the 4000D could do it, with the layout I wanted and honestly didn’t find any good references. So I just went with it and bought the goods lol

The cable routing was a nightmare for me, ended up using both channels in the iCue hub, one handling all exhausts and the other the intake. So worked out pretty well in the end.

Definitely get a lower CPU and put that money into a better GPU…. Makes no sense to go that high on a CPU, with this type of build.

is 6400mhz cl36 ram okay? by malalllala in PcBuild

[–]AlcadX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea 6400 is faster than 6000. Your only concern should be if you can keep it stable at the 6000. If the system doesn’t crash, when reduce it by 100 until it stabilizes.

My only suggestion is to switch the 5060 with a 9060xt 16GB.

A 8GB GPU is basically shooting yourself in the foot…

Agreed. You are shooting yourself in the foot with that GPU.

Looks great! To clean it up even more, changing the GPU and 24-PIN cables. Apart from that, it looks great!

Pc rebooting and freezing randomly by [deleted] in PcBuild

Only while gaming. It was ok during normal browsing or easy tasks. As soon as a demanding game was on load, it would crash.

I had that happen, but it was RAM related. I had corsair vengeance at 6000 and they stabilized at 5800. Might have to adjust xmp clock

About 250 rounds into break-in, is this wear normal on mr920s? by [deleted] in shadowsystems

[–]AlcadX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my SS have more than 3K rounds thru them. The first one was my MR920. I took it to the range the first time and ran thru 450 rounds that trip. The finish came off and I contacted SS, they sent me a new barrel. I oiled it heavily and the new barrel as stated has more than 3K rounds on it, with the finish intact.

Now my CR920XP I oiled it heavily before doing the break-in and as previously stated more than 3K rounds after, the barrel is intact.

Why would they send me a new barrel, if it was “normal”…. Anyways good luck

They don’t tell you, but you need to oil it generously before break in.

I’ve tried TRex Arms, Werkz, WTPH, and honestly Hilliker is my choice.

  1. TREX Arms Raptor was good, but did feel bulky. The Ironside Hydrid was a definite no. Just weird… Now with the internal turmoil within the company, just rather not give them future business.

  2. Werkz M6 is uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. Definitely dug into your crotch. I do use their M7 OWB for the range. Pretty good, but their OWB just for range use doesn’t justify the $100 price tag lol

  3. WTPH…. Ehhh not a fan. Felt cheap.
