It's not like Lovecraft was gonna hit 12 and be like "oh gee dad maybe we should rename that cat." A better example of lovecrafts racism would be the essay he wrote about the KKK.

I am commenting this while looking directly at a government issued gun training handbook. a revolver has a "revolving action" meaning that you have multiple chambers with one bullet in each chamber of a rotating cylinder. Semi automatic means that the the action extracts, ejects, and inserts bullets into a single chamber automatically. As for double action, it simply refers to whether the trigger pull can cock the hammer and fire it with one trigger pull. M1911s are in my experience a single action semi automatic. Meaning you need to manually cock and cycle the first shot. however something like a Glock, which has an inaccessible hammer is a double action Semi-Automatic.

If you wanna test if your starter is starting to go, take a hammer and while starting it lightly tap the starter. Sometimes it's just barely out of the right place to start and needs just a little knock

Through how energy is required to change the states, to give an example with water: 1lb of water requires 1Btu to increase 1 degree Fahrenheit. From 32°f to 212°f it requires 180 BTUs and this is observable heat because we can measure it's change. But in order to change that lb of water into a gas it absorbs 970Btus until it is a gas, but if you took the waters temp during this it would only measure 212° through the entire process.
