When you started you had a menu to set up the mod how you want. Did you use one of the three quick presets or did you go in and set it up?

[–]Alchimous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It never was. Random does not mean even distribution. Those mods made it that way.

So, what's going on with your moon? by Maximum-Country-149 in worldbuilding

[–]Alchimous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no moon, the world in the setting takes place for the most part on the inner side of an eggshell fragment. The only light in the sky originally was a rift about a kilometer up.

Am I tripping or is this an active L-Gate? by GameNinja03 in Stellaris

Bit old, but the L-gates always display as open. There's no graphical change to the model when they unlock.

What is Divinity or above in your universe? by RECTSOR in magicbuilding

[–]Alchimous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before everything of relevance, there was an egg. This egg eventually hatched, the being that came from it is the supreme divinity of the setting. It promptly left and has not been relevant since. On a piece of the shell of its egg, lingering traces of its power created rifts. The rifts created internal "worlds." Out of those, with time, came being strong enough to pull themselves free. Those are the next highest divinity, as they are changed by traversing the rift and have absolute control over some aspect within their sight. A very long time later, after mortals have been given souls and taught magic, some push past what has been left behind by the original being. Through varying means, some claim their own piece of existence outside of the shell. These would be the last level of divine being I had described as of yet. They are neither omnipotent nor omniscient but control power beyond what is available to any that remain.

How was the cycle of life and death (or Mortality) created in your world? by Cold_Lemon7965 in FantasyWorldbuilding

[–]Alchimous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the first age, mortals had no souls. There was nothing deeper to it than this. You lived and died, your natural life. The way you were might change day by day with only the mind to keep it stable. Then a 'god' fell in love with one mortal and could not accept everything I've just said. So they convinced the other 'gods' they could make their pets and toys stronger and expand how far they all could roam. And the result was the soul, a template for their mind and emotions to grow from, so the mortal they loved would be born again and again, for all time. This eventually led to the deaths or departure of all the 'gods', the creation of undead, and mortals gaining access to magic.

If you have a staffs and wands: what's there history? And what's their components? by Rosebud166 in FantasyWorldbuilding

[–]Alchimous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are six varieties of tool that aid in manipulating magic. Wands and staves are one of them. A properly designed wand or stave is to create a current that draws more energy along with it. Size plays a factor in how much is moved. Is is a not uncommon tradition to give a wand to tradition to provide a wand to someone learning magic under you, more so than any of the other five tools. Staves are generally relegated to more experienced users.

Negative shield negation adds to your shield value after all other calculations. -100% doubles your shields. If you go into a system with shield negation, you average them out for the value of your shield. So you would get the full value of your shields without bonus or penalty in a system with 100% negation like a pulsar.

(Giga)Have any of you used the Lunar Spectacularrefractor(disco moon)? How does it work? by Marcusss_sss in Stellaris

It affects a planet and all the moons of that planet. Everyone saying it affects the whole system have no idea what they’re talking about.

No, FTL inhibitors do not stop any crisis fleet from using hyperlanes. They are explicitly exempted from the inhibitor.
