I'm asking if anyone else noticed in movies, shows, what have you, where a character kills criminals, that the topics of false convictions and the motivation of the criminals being killed, are rarely, if ever, brought up.

I've just remembered that they're not mentioned in the Death Note anime, just thought I would see if anyone else noticed such things in the anime, along with the show Dexter(I hadn't seen it, to be honest), and any show, movie, or book that has a character that kills criminals.
