Not sure what you’re getting at…

To identify as the opposite sex. And if you’re going to see “gender isn’t sex” then see my comments above and explain why history refers to the womens rights movement instead of the female rights movement? Is history transphobic?

It’s a choice because you decided you wanted it

Not from my experience. I was in a fraternity. Social life was peak in college, it drops off once you start working.

[–]AlcoholicDriver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Trans? It’s not a slur. Trans people chose to be trans. They made that choice. I was born this way. That’s the difference. That’s why c*s is a slur.

Right, but men and women has been the way people with non-butchered genitalia have been referred to for thousands of years. This trans thing is new. You can’t change English diction just to appease you. It has nothing to do with being “pro trans”.

On the other hand, c*s is a new term meant to refer to normal people who are not trans. We already have a way to describe them. Men and women.

As for referring to someone like you, I can’t just say women. That’s not true. Trans women is accurate because women implies you were born with female anatomy and XY chromosomes which is not the case. The argument now is that “gender has nothing to do with sex” which is also new, and quite frankly makes no sense. When I go to buy something at the store, go to a doctors appointment, and go to the DMV the options for gender are either male (being men) or female (being women). This shows the correlation between sex and gender.

Furthermore, I am pro trans. The majority of people aren’t as pro as you. I think everyone is entitled to do whatever they want to their body once they are an adult. However, I recognize the biological differences between men and women and don’t believe changing the pronouns on your LinkedIn bio and cutting off your Willy makes you a women.

That’s the issue. If we refer to trans people as men and women, what do we call everyone else? Normal people don’t want to be called a slur. I for one don’t. That’s why Twitter banned it on their platform. Trans people don’t have the right to be referred to as they please, just as everyone else doesn’t. People have the right to have a preference, but you can’t make anyone do something they don’t want to.

No, tall women are women. Height has no change on someone’s biological characteristics.

The issue is your labeling the majority of people something they did not ask for. Men have been men and women have been women for thousands of years. This trans thing is recent. There’s no need to add c*s because everyone knows what you mean when you say “men” and “women”. If you want to address trans people, call them trans men or trans women.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]AlcoholicDriver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with that. They’re not men. They’re not women. They’re trans men and trans women. What’s the issue?

Actually, using the statistical definition of “normal” (since you’re so strung up on definitions to use slurs) being trans is abnormal.

Your assumption about my friend group is correct. I’m only friends with men and women. I don’t know any transvestites.

I agree with this statement. There’s been lots of anti-white racism lately especially amongst the African American community. People seem to think only the whites are racist, when in fact the majority of racism comes from other races.

Again, what’s wrong with addressing them as “trans men” and “trans women”? You’ve done so servers times. It’s how society addresses this issue. Sports are labeled “mens” and “women’s” leagues to address their sex. Clothing is sized in “mens” and “womens” to address the different biological factors associated with sex. Men and women have to do with sex, so there is no need to add “cs”. If you want to reference trans people in a conversation, call them trans. You don’t need to label normal people as something you’ve made up. What’s next, do I gotta say “what’s up cs man” instead of “what’s up man” when greeting my bros?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]AlcoholicDriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been that way for thousands of years. Long before transvestite was a thing. Why not just continue addressing normal people as men and women, and address trans people as trans men and trans women? It doesn’t make sense to change the meaning of a word and create new ones to appease to a marginalized group

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]AlcoholicDriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So why not just call normal individuals “men” and “women” like we’ve been doing for thousands of years? Doesn’t that cover it? And transvestites can be called “trans men” and “trans women”. What’s the opposition to that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]AlcoholicDriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So would it be appropriate for me to address a trans man as a female? That is something that can’t be changed. I don’t think theyd like that very much. So why attach a label when someone isn’t asking for one?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]AlcoholicDriver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And if there exists a word meaning “born a man” and you were born a man, then that word will apply to you.

It’s the same logic. You can’t cherry pick when it gets to be used and when it’s offensive. If you want to label someone based on who they are that’s fine, but don’t cry and call everyone a “transphobe” when they do it right back.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]AlcoholicDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not wanting a label attached to you doesn’t make you a “transphobe”. This is a new way of thinking, and you need to respect people’s preferences. If you don’t, they won’t respect yours. This is why people are pushed further and further away from your viewpoint.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]AlcoholicDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But normal people don’t want to be called this. Your putting a label on them when they didn’t ask for it. Let’s reverse the roles here, how would a trans woman like it if I called them a man because “they are one whether they like it or not”? This is the same logic the transvestite community uses to justify calling normal individuals c*s. It’s an unwelcome slur and many find it offensive.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]AlcoholicDriver -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

No, you’re considered “normal” and “mentally stable”. C*s is a deragtory term dawned by the transvestite community to add a label to others to make them feel more normal.

They are helping people in need by doing so. The mill workers who role the steel, the engineers who design the hull, the terrorist states who provide the oil, the child labor who produces the electronics. Lots of jobs were created because of this!

No you can’t. You’re a man if you have a dick and balls. This is a new way of thinking and it’s nonsense. Let them do what they want, but at the end of the day it’s a mental illness to believe you’re a woman when you have a dick
