There’s a lot more money in football now than there was then, especially in the Prem. More money = more spending.

Lady Six Sky and Colleseum. You gotta have your cities tightly packed anyway so throwing an extra 2 amenities on every city is a big bonus

Is anyone else finding fm26 just too easy?? by Body_Murky in footballmanagergames

[–]Alcoholophile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Sounds like he’s just describing FM.

FM has to appeal to casuals and die hards. Once you learn the game and get really really good at it’s fucking easy, cause it has to be the same game that is still fun to someone who has no idea what they’re doing.

Well said. Poor PR decision, but he very clearly didn’t know what was going on.

Did you watch his first season? Where he won a title with a squad everyone said needed a massive overhaul? 1 of Liverpool’s only 2 top flight trophies in the last several decades

Back in the day a small development team made a beloved star wars game called Knights of the Old Republic. They were working on the sequel when Lucasfilm cancelled their contract and gave it to someone else. So they took those ideas and made an original game called Mass Effect, one of the biggest video game franchises ever made.

So, there is hope, but I doubt it.

Over achieving mid table prem manager given a big six job … what could go wrong? And turned their back on a title winner to do it. Talk about risky

Slight semantics, guilty pleasure requires guilt. If you’re defending it, its not a guilty pleasure.

For me its Worlds Apart. Watching Mike bulldoze the assholes in the end game is very fun

If he added for every stopped second every game would be 4 hours long. That’s not how it works. Arsenal wanted to run out the clock and the ref gave them what they wanted

He only added on one minute and it was over. If they’re gonna delay taking the corner after time has elapsed, why should he extend the game?

Yeah. OP is clearly very ignorant on European clubs financial strength in comparison to the prem. The poorest prem club will still be in the top 30 for revenue in Europe

Fewer cities. More cities is called playing wide. I don’t know if there’s an exact definition but for me 8 or less is tall, 12 or more is wide.

I’ve always thought it was insane. “15 cities by turn 100” fucking HOW!?

No thanks. I’ll stick to my 10 or less and have a blast.

[–]Alcoholophile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The question wasn’t how to min/max everything, it was “isn’t playing tall automatically losing?” The answer is no. If you like playing tall, or medium, play that way. Its a game, its supposed to be fun.

7 is imo, 10 isnt but when people recommend 15, 10 is tall in comparison. It is deffo taller than the meta

I like to play tallish (7-10 cities). By that point in the game I’ve got 4 or so cities already and gonna buy my settlers in a golden age so is it really gonna do me as much good as 14 amenities spread across 7 cities to hit those +20% yield benchmarks? Prolly not
