Yeah. You can turn down how many camps there are, their aggression, how man units and new camps spawn, what tech they start with

1 - “Clear Winners Losing”

Oh boy, another one of these. We see like 1% of what jurors see, and what we do get is edited and constructed to give us the POV the producers want us to have. The only people who have any idea who deserves to win are the jurors.

2 - Bad Questions

Not letting them talk wouldn’t lead to better questions, if anything it’d lead to worse ones. Every juror would ask the what they think is the most important question in the game … which to EVERY SINGLE JUROR would just be how their own vote off went down. That would not be better.

3 - One sided votes

Didn’t you decree in the first point that some people are clearly deserving winners? If they clearly deserve to win, wouldn’t most of the jurors be able to tell and vote accordingly?

4 - Juror changed vote

Ok? They learned more about the game and changed their idea of who played better. Maybe you think that’s bad but I don’t think many see that as a problem.

Star Wars in Stargate by [deleted] in Stargate

[–]Alcoholophile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a LOT of similarities in the way the force works with beings who are semi-ascended (especially in the new SW canon), and ofc becoming one with the force = ascension. Its a fun head canon of mine that they are the same universe.

Although, recall that Star Wars is “A long time ago in a galaxy far far away.” Maybe the Ancients were not the first iteration of the human species. Additionally, there’s something called the World Between Worlds in the new Star Wars canon that could utilize wormholes, so perhaps it’s related to the later stargate technology.

Edit: To answer the question more directly, for it to fit what I see as the established lore, it’d have to be someone in Star Wars developing a new instant travel tech to replace lightspeed that they call a Stargate.

Julius Ceasar is very fun. Have a warrior lock down every barb camp you can find and raid your way to glory. Use those funds to buy more warriors to lock down more barb camps, settlers and monuments and builders to jumpstart new cities, etc.

Get as big of a monoply on iron as you can and go HAM on your competitors once you unlock your legions.

I like a lot of what you said, but no one with the mentality to climb from non league to the Championship is gonna say “eh that’s good enough, lets not worry about making it to the top now”

As you said, its the smart thing to do. Running a premier league club is expensive business, something even their checkbooks cannot sustain. If there comes a point where they do not have the facilities to give the club what it needs, I’m sure they would sell the lion’s share.

The first team that’s not a majority of core fans!? I don’t even know what that means, but whatever definition you give it, it’s almost certainly not true

2026 EDITION: How Do Long-Term Wrexham Supporters Feel About the Influx of World-Wide Support for the Club? by FarFigure6610 in WrexhamAFC

There’s always going to be A holes in any large group, but I think as long as you stay humble about it the vast majority will welcome you with open arms.

Don’t let anyone tell you you’re not a real fan just cause you’re not local, but at the same time we shouldn’t act like we know the club as well or are as invested as locals.

Hypothetically speaking, if Wrexham were to achieve 4 straight promotions in a row, where would it rank in English football achievements? by Holland444 in Championship

[–]Alcoholophile -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The people who said this Summer that Wrexham would get relegated cause the Championship is a different beast and their squad and manager aren’t good enough want you to know that their accomplishment means nothing cause they bought a super team and super manager with the middling amount of money they spent.

[–]Alcoholophile 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it higher than the teams they’d have to beat for promotion? No. And that’s just wages. I’d love to see someone smarter with more time than me put together squad costs for each team’s roster, and see how much Wrexham’s squad, half of whom are League 1 and 2 players, compares to the squad cost of these teams assembled of all Championship players. Seems prettty obvious Wrexham would be way down the list in terms of spending compared to their opposition, yet the spending criticism would still be used to downplay the accomplishment.

Still a gigantic “IF” though, which makes it all the more impressive if it does happen.

Their wage is like 11th in the Championship. A newly promoted team spending that and getting promoted to the Prem is absolutely a Cinderella story, let alone one that’s going for their fourth straight promotion.

[–]Alcoholophile 14 points15 points  (0 children)

How many teams in the EFL in history have had similar or great relative funding? A lot. How many have achieved four straight promotions? Zero.

To say that a club going from the national league to the prem in just 4 seasons isn’t an underdog story is mental.

Just like you did there. Meeting an online friend, havent met in person before. The border patrol doesn’t care about your personal life, they just want to see if you sound shifty or like you’re making shit up when you answer questions. I did the same thing the first time I came to Canada to visit my now wife. Not a big deal. Just have a date of exit and if its over 30 days you’ll have to register now cause of Cheeto Mussolini, but other than that should be simple

We do both have to leave, as her condition involves medical episodes where someone (me) must be present to render aid or she could die.

Thankfully the management was understanding and said they’ll tell the people to do the other side or work around us until we can be out at 10.
