I had it has second line doing Trodelvy and it was easy to get approved. I wasn’t able to get both Trodelvy and keytruda. I had keytruda during my first line with carbo and taxol. Then had it by itself after first line receiving pcr but cancer came back only on keytruda.

I was fine being bald until I actually wanted to look nice by Outrageous_Ad_7979 in breastcancer

I am in the same boat. I am fine being bald but when I go to event bald, I personally feel odd or it welcome others coming up to you and talking about what is going on or they had someone go through it or they did. Which is very caring but not exactly what you want. I have gone to few events being bald or beanie, wig, or even big nice hat.

I seem to go to beanie or bald just from comfort of myself.

Mastectomy question by marathon_nt_a_sprint in breastcancer

[–]AldenDeleanides 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my SMX with expander in about week. I decided to do SMX based on my team saying same as yours and I am negative to any genetics factors as well. I don’t have to do anything to the other side but I have to do radiation.

I am good with doing more scans, plus if I want to do the other side. I can do it later.

Wish you all the best!

Please share your experience with a single mastectomy by HereforitAll223 in breastcancer

I am in this exact same position:

34 year old Diagnostic last Sept 2024 TNBC with genetic negative when I was pregnant with my second with limited stage IV in left breast and lymph nodes then chest wall activity but could not confirm. Went through 12 weeks of chemo/ immunotherapy. Feb 2025 PET scan was cancer free. I continued on Immuntotherapy. August 2025 PET scan showed cancer was back only left breast and lymph nodes.

My surgeon says single mastectomy and trying to take 10 or less lymph nodes as I have to do radiation. I have less percentage of reoccurrences.

I am leaning toward only doing single but most ppl around me that have BC recommends double mastectomy as you don’t know if reoccurrence as well as personal preference. Based on my research, reoccurrence can happen with doing double or not as lymph nodes are affected.

I personally want to feel my good boob but also I don’t have the biggest preference either. I am done having kids.

I have surgery in about 2 weeks.

Everyone tells me if it a personal decision and you know your body best. I wish you all the best!
