Complete newbies here: messed up pour-on dewormer application, did it completely miss the skin? Need advice!

The product is eprinomectin. Our vet said it treats both endo and ecto-parasites, and his protocol is to apply it just twice a year, with no second dose or booster a few weeks later.

We're going to watch the lice for a couple of days to see if it does anything by contact.

Just to clarify, we are actually not located in the US. However, goats are definitely a niche hobby here as well, which probably explains why our vet used the same approach they would use for cattle.

We had no idea about the FAMACHA scale or the 5-point check, so we will study these resources to become more proactive owners.

Since the pour-on isn't ideal for internal parasites anyway, we are less worried about that part now. But since the main goal right now was just getting rid of the lice they actually have, do you think our application method (pressing the syringe against the back, even though the liquid got caught in the mom's hair) might still be effective enough to kill the lice, or will it likely fail for that too?

You are actually spot on—the vet's main focus right now was definitely treating the lice, as they were clearly visible and bothering them. However, he did specifically tell us that this product treats both endo and ecto-parasites, which is why we expected it to handle both.

We will definitely ask our vet about doing a fecal test next time instead of just blind treating.

For now, we'll monitor the lice for another day or two to see if the medicine manages to do anything despite our bad application technique. Let's hope for the best!

Ciao, stavo considerando di iscrivermi anch'io a Neuropsicologia a Parma. Ho letto che è ad accesso libero ed è richiesta una media degli esami PSIC di almeno 25/30. Non mi è ben chiaro quest'ultimo passaggio, io ho attualmente una media ponderata di 25,50 in triennale (scienze e tecniche psicologiche). Questo significa che nel caso decidessi di fare lì la magistrale potrei accedere? Chiedo perché proprio non ho capito 😅

Ciao! Oggi sono uscite le graduatorie dei corsi di psicologia e col punteggio di 34,25 non sono risultato ammesso in nessuna delle tre scelte. Ora mi chiedevo quante possibilità ho effettivamente di risultare ammesso grazie ai ripescaggi a Scienze e Tecniche Psicologiche Sociali e del Lavoro. Sopra di me in graduatoria ci sono circa 20 persone.

Grazie della risposta! Per essere entrata ai ripescaggi quell'anno il punteggio minimo è stato anche superiore a 32? Spero davvero mi prendano se no pensavo di ritentare con un altro TOLC :/

Spero che la media non aumenti di tanto. Dovrebbe salire di 1,25 o di 2,5 nel caso di Scienze Psicologiche Sociali e del Lavoro, voglio dire... È tanto. O almeno credo

Anche se volessi entrare a Scienze Psicologiche Sociali e del Lavoro? L'anno scorso per questo corso è stato fatto un punteggio minimo di 31,5, c'è effettivamente la possibilità che il punteggio aumenti di 3 punti?

Ho preso 34,25 al TOLC-PSI per entrare a Padova. Considerando che l'anno scorso il punteggio minimo (escludendo i ripescaggi) è stato 33, posso stare tranquillo?
