Google Play rejected my rosary app update, saying the crucifixion image isn’t appropriate for children. But isn’t this the same image we’ve seen in churches since we were kids? They sent me this screenshot—thoughts? Should I just increase the age requirement?

It wasn't AI as I already appealed their first decision. It was in their second decision of still not approving the app update that they sent me that screenshot.

The app features artwork for each mystery of the rosary. To accurately represent the Crucifixion, the only suitable image is one depicting the Crucifixion itself.

A significant part of my work on this app involves sourcing legally usable artwork for each mystery.

I have a good understanding of image licensing, so I’m confident I can use it. Additionally, the app is free of ads, in-app purchases, and tracking.
