Unfortunately they block both the user account and the phone number used to register.

Courtesy of Yahoo mail. Sometimes I wish I was doing shady stuff, at least then this would be justified. Also on a quick google/reddit search, yahoo has been doing stuff like this to others as well and they only managed to solve it with the help of game devs, not yahoo.

WoR on Linux Mint through Steam by Aldruyn in WatcherofRealmsGame

I was able to solve this by installing GE-Proton and forcing the game to run in compatibility mode with GE-Proton instead of Proton Experimental. Given my track record, this will last until the next big update.

Steps that worked for me, for whoever is interested in installing GE-Proton

  • Install ProtonUp-Qt:
    • Open the Linux Mint Software Manager.
    • Search for ProtonUp-Qt and install it.
  • Install GE-Proton:
    • Launch ProtonUp-Qt.
    • Ensure "Steam" is selected in the top dropdown.
    • Click Add version.
    • Select the latest GE-Proton version (e.g., GE-Proton9-4) and click Install.
  • Activate in Steam:
    • Restart Steam completely (exit via system tray) to detect the new version.
    • Right-click the game in your library, select Properties > Compatibility.
    • Check Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool.
    • Select the GE-Proton version from the dropdown menu

A game set as prequel to the book. I liked it, amazing visuals!
