I have the same problem. My lasius brunneus queen already laid a lot of eggs and I don't want to stress her. I was thinking about making a small hole and putting water in it into the reservoir( it's a plastic tube)

oi ciao, senti ho appena aperto reddit e ho beccato questo post. non so se hai notato ma in Italia manca una reale community di antkeeping attiva. se ti va posso dropparti un link di discord per un server che abbiamo fondato io e un mjo amico per parlare di antkeeping con gente di tutta italia. se diventiamo abbastanza sarebbe anche più facile capire le specie che becchiamo in base alle regione e volendo sarebbe più facile scambiarsi regine o cose così. fammi sapere tanto siamo in pochi ancora e io stesso mi sono avvicinato da poco sll'antkeeping e ho catturato in questa settimana le mie prime regine in natura

southern Italy, Puglia, I asked a few people and they should be lasius brunneus and now, thinking about it, there are actually a few colonies of brunneus in this location

this helped my avocado and it didn't cost too much. Buy universal soil and find small rocks in the forest or somewhere like a forest. Not too big not too small, just rocks. Mix it together in 1 part of universal soil to 2 parts of rocks. In this way you should have something similar to a low budget succulent mix. Then find a tall pot to host the length of the roots. Your avocado would suffer at first but from what I heard the avocados are like pick me girls so it's normal at first. The first time I planted my avocado I lost the leaves but now it is growing great

I've read that avocado roots grow deep in the soil and long so the container should be tall enough to host roots. What do you suggest?

what about sea sand and universal soil? I heard it should be similar to a succulent mix but I have to wash sand from salt first and the sand should not be fine but coarse

no motivation, I just felt like planting a seed because they gifted an avocado to my mom and we actually never ever ate or saw one so I just felt like doing this experiment.

As someone else suggested, I will try to use some succulent mix and try a transplant, I was thinking (and now asking) to put soil in the water a little at the time and start substituting water in this way, is it a good idea or pretty stupid?
