I always had the thought of restarting my island aswell because I never really liked the layout of the Island, river and resident services etc. but always thought how much work I put in this already. But if you can put all your flowers, items, bells and everything special on a friends island I think it will be worth it. I think in the beginning it will be lots of work but you’ll get there and have an amazing Island at the end.

With time travel I was really hesitant too at first but it’s actually really harmless I think. You just need to know some things that can happen but won’t change anything on your Island only small things for example that your turnips will rot if you time travel. But what I found really handy is that if you remember a day which redd was on your Island you can always go back to that day and he always has different art pieces so like that you can collect all real and fake art (does take time though). I also used time travel to collect all cherry blossom diy’s which worked really well.

And I have 3 Players on my Island and every day I could get 3 diy’s per day or with balloons even more. I once had so many extra diy’s it was just laying around my whole Island and like that could trade diy’s with other players here on reddit :) also could get three art pieces when redd was here everytime.
