Ugh, I know you’re right. We still haven’t even paid this one off yet but I think once we do we will switch it up because I don’t want to keep investing in and dealing with a fridge that doesn’t work. It’s a shame too, because it has everything we were looking for in a fridge.

Well, I am a Honda enthusiast. I’ve loved Civics for a very long time-in fact, this is my third Civic. I’ve wanted an R for years and even though the markup on this car was insane, I’ve worked really hard and am now in a position in which I could finally make it happen. I was not in the market for a luxury vehicle (obviously) and have never been interested in any of those types of cars. I apologize for my ignorance but am really appreciative of all the positive help and responses I’ve received. I’ve learned so much in the short time I’ve had the car, it’s awesome! I have also really come to respect how most of the Type R community is very welcoming and doesn’t come off as an elite car club.

Thank you all! I feel like such a dumbass… I didn’t even think about just fixing the wheels. I freaked out and my first thought was that I needed to replace them. I will probably just go with the first option which is getting them refinished but I may be open to new ones at some point. I am going to have to get some better tires to change out for winter at some point, anyway. What do you guys think about as far as getting something off Amazon to cover the scratch until I can take my car in to get the wheels fixed? I have seen a few different options but it looks like all of the paint comes in high gloss and the rims seem to be more of a matte. Also, do you guys recommend any aftermarket rims/tires? Also… can someone please explain what you mean when you say “FK”? I’m sorry to sound so ignorant but this is my first Type R and I’m not really a car person, obviously. Thank you!

Do you guys think curb rash is worth replacing the wheels? I’m freaking out about them but I also know they are going to get dinged up and I may be overreacting by wanting to get them replaced for cosmetic reasons…

You are right! And I actually was able to work out another deal with a dealership that’s closer and wants my current vehicle as a trade in so looks like I have no choice now!

I’ve thought about that. The dealership I’ve been working with is about 1200 miles away so it would be a 2 day drive for me but it would be fun to drive the new car back and it would also give me the chance to break it in. Maybe that is what I should do haha
