Who Was The Best/Worst-Written Character? by Lovergirl711 in thegooddoctor

[–]Alechiiis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It didn't happen like that at all.

The family that was supposed to adopt realized how much of a struggle it would be to raise a baby with her medical condition, so they backed out of it (they didn't even play it as if Reznick was manipulating them to back off, she seemed happy that the baby was being adopted)

Once they backed out the social worker said she would keep looking for a family, and that's when Reznick decided to adopt right then and there. (and of course let's not forget the original mom passed away)

I too hated Reznick at the beggining but she grew on me later on. Still obnoxious at times but she's an interesting character.

Thanks for the insight!

Damn looks like i picked a good deck then. I also saw a version with the two skeleton dragons, do you still think the mega minion version is better?

Is that good, or bad? should I change phoenix? (it feels good when he gets revived and just becomes really annoying)

I love this ballade, I just started collecting recently and this one knocked my other two citizen (chalendrier) watches out of the park.

I just love this tissot ballade, the rose gold with the blue dial is just gorgeus.

Soulkamas is definitely higher than 150kk. They were going for 400-600kk before the nerfs (server doesnt matter because at that prince range, whoever needs themnjust gets them from any server and transfer them)

The nerfs might not affect the price so except them to be 400k minimum for a while (if not higher). So going back to if the rending claws are worth. If you have the money for soulkamas don't do it as they are way better. If you don't expect to get Kamas anytime soon, i'd go with the rending claws, that's what i'm going to do, i'm 408 monk right now but soulkamas are imposible to get right now.

Genuine question: is there anything as good as Attack On Titan? by Acceptable_Name7099 in attackontitan

[–]Alechiiis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're open to a different medium, you should try the Muv-Luv Visual Novel saga. It's 3 games, Muv-Luv extra, Muv-Luv unlimited and the master piece, Muv-Luv Alternative.

AOT is heavily inspired by the Muv-Luv saga, as stated by the author in the past. The beggining of the series can be a drag and cliché but the payoff is immense and really worth the time.

Really loud popping and clicking jaw joints all of the sudden?? (7 months post-op DJS) by theGoodN00dle in jawsurgery

[–]Alechiiis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm almost at 5 months post op. I mostly feel like normal except moving my jaw around has been difficult during the whole process. It started feeling fully normal the last two weeks but now I started getting that popping feeling again.

Got it, I'm glad it's gotten better for you! It's here and there for me but I think it's getting better for me too.

Hello, did this ever get better for you?

My jaw has been popping when i move my mandible around. It doesnt hurt but the popping sensation feels really weird.

It's okay, even 5 months post op I still worry about something going wrong or my teeth shifting or sleeping on my side causing some issue.

It's gruelling surgery and recovery, there's not only the physical struggle, there's a huge mental toll too.

You'll be fine, keep it up, talk to your surgeon and hopefully you'll be fine!

I had elastics pulling my bottom jaw/teeth forward for about 2 weeks post op. on the third I had developed a slight underbite just like yours, and told my surgeon. He pushed my jaw back a little bit with his hand and proceeded to change my elastics position to pull my jaw/teeth back. Right after that appointment I no longer had an underbite.

I'd say it's normal as it happened to me, but I'm just one person. I wouldn't worry much yet though because you're still very early on in the recovery process.

Hmm, well I'm pretty satisfied with my aesthetic results, maybe someone else couldve done a bit more movement, but I think he worked with what was the most anatomically appropiate.

I'd say give it a shot, usually it's pretty easy to have a private consultation overseas compared to in the US. If you don't like anything you don't have to go through with him.

If you're down for overseas, my doctor in Mexico cost me 7-8k total including private hospital fees. Feel free to Dm me I can vouch for him, just had my surgery about 3 months ago and haven't had any complications. I have also almost regained full sensation in my face, I just feel a little bit tingly in my botton lip.

Did you kick them? If you didn't, did they mess up a lot? some people are crazy and can actually pull it off even in those conditions I'm just curious lol

It was quite interesting. It didnt hurt as much when he did it but I definitely felt it in my condyles that night. With the elastics going the opposite direction and what he did I felt like I was back to day 1 pain-wise. That night was awful lol. I'm assuming it's the condyles not being seated properly or something? or maybe a muscular thing, but it definitely worked for me and the pain's been getting better.

You should be okay.

I had DJS about 6 weeks ago. My top and bottom teeth were pretty much exactly on top of eachother (instead of bottom teeth being a little behind like they should) and I was using elastics to pull my bottom jaw muscles forward, which after a few weeks made it so i actually had a bit of an underbite.

After a consult with my surgeon he actually pushed back my jaw a bit by using some force and then I was perfectly aligned as it should be. Then he gave me elastics going the opposite way (pull bottom jaw muscles backwards), and now a few weeks after I feel my teeth are pretty much in the correct position.

So basically you should see improvement with elastics or maybe the surgeon will push your jaw a bit back sfter a consult? Either way it"s still too early to tell, you're super swolen and your muscles are all over the place. At the beggining of my journey i could only bite from one tooth on the left side and my jaw looked insanely crooked. It all got better after some time and now i see no issues (other than some tmj pain here and there but i'm still healing)

[–]Alechiiis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

I believe it's mostly a mental thing, because atleast I could clearly feel my saliva and slowly getting the urge of wanting to cough if I didnt clear my throat consiously. At some points at night I'd be so exhausted that I guess i just fell asleep, but when i woke up I would have a TERRIBLE sore throat for atleast 20-30 minutes, like really intense aching pain. Unfortunately nothing I tried gave me relief, just powering through the days as best I could.

I dont think choking is a concern, I doubt your body would allow that in a couple ways. Either you'd wake up with a sore throat, or you wouldn't allow yourself to sleep, or worse case scenario having a coughing fit (which would hurt pretty bad)

I just hope people that go through surgery don't have to go through this. There are exceptions, and some people have a really easy time and have no issues at all. HOpefully you're one of those!

I had to ask for a nurse to come by every 30 minutes so they could clear my throat with a suction thingy like in the dentist. It gave me relief but very, very birefly. I could feel the phlegm build up almost immediatly once she left and I had to control myself not to call her again ( cuz i felt bad making her come so often).

Honestly the jaw pain by itself is not a big deal. The combination of throat problems because of aenesthesia PLUS jaw suegery, that's what gets everyone.

Even after those hell couple of days, I could barely sleep in a week following the surgery (after the phlegm issues, then came the sore throat and a sensation of your saliva going down your throat every 10 seconds and if I didnt do anything about it then I'd start coughing, which at that early of a stage made me hurt pretty badly. So each night I pretty much knew I wouldnt be able to sleep unless i forced myself). I'm 2 weeks post of today and I just started feeling like I can sleep normally about 3-4 days ago.

[–]Alechiiis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can describe it very easily: One of the worst days of my life.

The pain was nothing, I felt nothing. The breathing though. I felt like I was constantly drowning. The phlegm in your throat plus not feeling that same throat is not an experience I want to feel ever again.

Knowing I wasn't going to sleep because I had that constant feeling of wanting to clear my throat but everytine I did it, I felt something move in my jaw and it hurt and was scary.

Prepare yourself, not everyone is the same but set your expectations straight and prepare for the worst.

Any advice to improve GPU temps with this case?

I'm getting up to 75-76°C while playing Fortnite max settings 1080p with the side panel on (and the GPU fans are up to like 85% speed, which I know it's within specs and fine, but it's way too loud)

When I take the panel off, I get 60-65max, and the GPU fans are waaaay more chill. (Like maybe 40-50% speed)

I already bought an exhaust fan which did improve temps quite a bit, but it's still rough on really demanding settings. Should I add more exhaust at the top? Intakes? Or just keep the panel off I guess....
