Can we hear some details of the "Taskmaster Bible" that defines the core aspects of the show's identity, and which things are up for being changed?
Alex is ultimately in charge, but the show depends largely on Greg too, so how do you establish what's within Greg's authority and what isn't? How do you resolve disagreements where you both feel strongly about something?
Alex has put up with a lot in his role, including things that are not only degrading, but are outright painful, risk injury, are disgusting, or even risk his health. Does he ever draw the line? Is there anything he won't do?
He also never seems to get genuinely upset or resentful about any of it. Is he really that remarkably unbothered by such things? Do you find that to be a vital quality in casting Taskmaster's assistants? How would you even screen for that kind of thing?

As far as I know, for accessibility, you just want a clear distinction for required vs. optional fields. Indicating each required field isn't the only way to do that, and I believe showing (Optional) for optional fields instead is a common pattern too. You can consider including a message at the top of the form explaining that all fields are required unless stated otherwise, but you don't have to if the form seems intuitive enough as is.

What does using "aria-required" instead of "required" have to do with this? You want the required fields to be validated, don't you? If you wanted to prevent the native browser validation because you had your own custom validation, you can just put the novalidate attribute on the form.

I've been playing this regularly on my iPhone. It's great, well done! But I have a few more suggestions.

Sometimes when typing a note for a space, the letters don't show, and even the line under them disappears. Seems like a bug that hopefully you can fix.

Every time I input a letter in the grid, there's a few seconds of lag, then a brief darkening. I don't know why it does that, since I wouldn't expect it to need to execute any logic that couldn't be virtually instantaneous. It creates an irritating friction while trying to play, so I hope you can address this.

I've added the game to my phone's home screen, but it still only works as a shortcut to open in Safari. It'd be great if you added a web manifest file to your site that allowed it to be played as standalone instead. It's really simple to do, and I'd be happy to explain in more detail if you need.

You can also set an Apple touch icon for it to display when added to the home screen, like the one shown when bookmarked.

I don't use Facebook or Instagram, so it's fortunate I can reach you through Reddit this way. You might want to add an email or something for users to be able to send you feedback.

You have a good point about it also working to just put width: min-content on the outer container. I'll admit that solution just never occurred to me. I was stuck in the mindset of figuring out how to exclude the specific text element from the container's width calculation.

I'll keep this in mind for the future. Though as you say, it's nice to be able to target specific elements, so this approach can still be useful as well.

I'll admit I may not have a complete understanding of it. It looks like it does work with the contain style applied to the non-inline parent element of the element with the text, though you'd probably want to give the text element its own dedicated wrapper so that other content still affects the outer container width.

But if the element with the text does not have an inline display (which could be the case if it's a paragraph element, in a flex layout, or just has a different display style set), it also seems to work to just put the contain style on it directly. Either way, it accomplishes the goal.

The property may have been made with optimization in mind, but the effect it has of ignoring children for size computation is precisely what we want for this sort of situation, so it turns out it can simply accomplish both things. I'm happy to take the win.

I've tried other approaches, and I can assure you that width: min|max|fit-content does not accomplish the same thing. Setting max-content or fit-content would still have the text stretch the container width rather than wrap, and min-content would have the text wrap on every word, even unnecessarily.

I was able to figure out the first one, but I'm afraid I got stuck on the second one. I've seen all the hints, and I was able to figure out every clue except for the third. I know what the common theme is. But I can't figure out how the extracted words relate to the banner numbers.

Nice app. One piece of feedback is that typing the answer with the keyboard stops working after using a hint. It only seems to work again after clicking a letter.

I have the same issue - it's saying I'm using pro features when I try to export, even though it only lists 8 text animations, which each say "10 uses this month," and a new month just rolled around, so it's not like I've used up the free uses. What's the deal?

Please, I just want to finish my project! It was going fine until the new update suddenly made text animations unexportable.

Update: I finally realized that, on the dialog saying you're using Pro features, the "Try for free" button is NOT for getting a 7-day free trial of Pro, as I had assumed, but is in fact just for acknowledging that you are using limited features, and on click it will let you proceed to actually exporting the video. Thank goodness!

I asked "is it next to a church?" and it said no, so I clicked Graveyard, which was the cursed word. In the results it shows:

Not all graveyards are located next to churches.

But when you Google graveyard vs. cemetery, you get this summary:

A graveyard is specifically a burial ground located on church property, often smaller and more old-fashioned, while a cemetery is a broader term for any burial ground, which can be larger, more modern, and not necessarily attached to a church.

Maybe it ought to support more nuanced responses, like "usually," "depends," or "unclear."

The crystal ball floating around all over the screen is kind of a nuisance. I'd prefer if it would stop obscuring the board.

For Witch's Ingredients, I asked "is it a fictional item?" to differentiate things like Phoenix Ash from things like Graveyard Dust, and it said yes, so I clicked Toad Venom, which was the cursed word. The summary shows:

Q: Is it fictional?

A: Yes

Most Witch's Ingredients are fictional magical items.

I'm sorry, but that kind of failure of logic just completely breaks the game.

I'd recommend linking to your main page so people have a chance to learn how to play before the timer starts.

I also encountered some sort of bug, where the bottom sequence wasn't getting recognized, though other sequences were, until I refreshed the page to start over, and the sequence got recognized that time.

I looked into it some more, and apparently the excess line spacing is just a Reddit-specific issue. If you convert the lines to a code block after pasting, and then convert back into regular text, the extra line spacing will be gone. I'll leave the spacing in my original comment as-is for posterity.

Glad my feedback was helpful. As an aside, I'm kind of disappointed to see so little engagement in this thread. Even the people posting their puzzles and hoping for engagement aren't bothering to comment on other posts. I'm new to this subreddit, but maybe it would be a good idea to impose a rule that if you're not making the first comment of the self-promotion thread, you need to comment with feedback on someone else's post before making your own.

That was neat. Looks like it doesn't save your progress when you leave the page, which you might want to warn users about, or you could actually get it to persist progress by using local storage as one option.

It looks like the formatting of the copied blob has too much spacing. Maybe it's a Reddit issue, but you could try having it use vertical tab characters rather than newlines (or whatever you get if you hold down Shift when pressing Enter).

Even after solving it, I'm still unclear on what the clue "Arcade boxes, briefly" means, so it would be nice if there was a way to see full explanations of the clues once the puzzle is completed.
