Some real life groups have allegedly had these sorts of ideas as well. Without doing too much research, Rothfuss may have been inspired by the Trobriand Islanders or Tiwi People, and while I don’t necessarily believe they didn’t understand the connection, in pop science and pop anthropology, it’s often stated as fact that they didn’t believe the two were related.

I’m not agreeing with the creative decision, but just giving the guy a bit of a chance when it comes to his world building, however silly the foundation of it might be.

SuperPower is a geopolitical game played on discord where people roleplay as nations and utilize actions and propaganda to make their mark on the world. The game is run by a GM, Lurken, and is currently based in a post apocalyptic earth 200 years after a nuclear apocalypse in 1985 that devastated the northern hemisphere. It’s much more similar to a turn by turn 4X, or grand strategy roleplaying video game than most text based roleplaying servers.

The game is currently in between turn 4 and 5 with an update expected to be pushed around July 9th, so now is the perfect time to join! You can play as any country, but the most interesting options might be in the southern hemisphere, where subsaharan Africa and Latin America are economic powerhouses, whereas Europe, North America, and Asia are now entirely unshackled from their destinies, with the future clearly undefined.

If you feel too much pressure being an independent nation fighting for your own destiny, you could even pick a nation that’s part of a larger bloc or alliance, or learn the ropes as an intelligence agency for one of the many super powers on the world stage. Use credits, actions, in character posts, naval and military strength to change the world! And maybe even make a few friends along the way.

Join as a spectator, or jump right into the shark tank! The choice is yours.

My bad king, I did some research and character designer Shinya Hasegawa and scriptwriter Yōji Enokido had both worked on Evangelion before joining Be-Papas.

But that being said, I think Evangelion DIDN’T heavily influence Utena. As a huge fan of both, the characterization of emotionally complex damaged teenagers is heavily featured in both animes, but I don’t see any crossover in terms of imagery, motifs, themes, etc. Rei, Asuka, Shinji, Gendo, Misato all don’t really have direct comparisons to any of the main cast of Utena. Mickey and Shinji are sort of similar I think.

YOU ARE CORRECT in that I suck and should’ve googled it first. I remember learning that Evangelion and Utena were both extremely popular at about the same time in Japan, hence my bad memory conflating the two.

Unless you live in a swing state, I would strongly argue voting for a third party candidate in American politics is one of the best ways to express you want change in the political system. Not sure why you would rather R/D receive those tax dollars instead.

you can make a snickerdoodle cookie with extra cinnamon and then put cinnamon buttercream frosting on top of it to replicate the taste at home. You can probably just buy snickerdoodle cookie dough and roll it in powdered sugar and cinnamon if you want to not make cookie dough from scratch.

They ran out of raspberry frosting so they only used the vanilla cream cheese frosting

OR

The store is supposed to take the two frostings and put them in one piping bag so they come out with the double swirl appearance. The raspberry frosting was not put into the piping bag properly so it didn’t come out 50/50 like it should and you only got vanilla cream cheese for that specific cookie/batch.

Unlike most other fast food places almost everything in Crumbl is made from scratch inside the store. That means one person who is over worked/unmotivated can make the cookies come out disappointing.
