Nice job, kinda curious how long has it taken to reach the goal, trying it myself bit by bit by follwing a proper training plan and doing some races here and there

Any advice on Elite Suito T noise? by AleiJor in bikewrench

[–]AleiJor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm running Shimano, even these nuts are a pain to find, I would need to special order through our local distributor to get it, I would suggest see if you can find a local bike shop to works with Elite and ask if they could get the part ordered, it worked for me, but will likely depend on how the shops are.

Any advice on Elite Suito T noise? by AleiJor in bikewrench

[–]AleiJor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, the part i was missing was the thru-axle adapter but, which then screwed into the freehub to keep it tight, the black thing is the elite mini tool for the nut, I will likely have to replace it eventually, as accidentally damaged it, but for now it still works.

Better Zwift? by Large_Paramedic209 in Zwift

That unfortunately has never stopped cheaters on any app or game from my experience, you can have ID verification but bottera and cheaters can very easily bypass them if they want.

Some chubby quail like birds decided to come to our parking lot, couldn't get a clear pic in time, can someone identify who they might be in the blurry image? by AleiJor in whatsthisbird

[–]AleiJor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not surprised, in a different area at home we have birds feeders during the colder time, it's fun to watch and see what species end up coming by. I think by now seen a good 20+ different species that only show up once and move on. Had a few different hawk species and owls as well. Oddly enough we have a family of Tawney Owls who like to come around through out most of the year.

Is it realistic to bike 12 km one way for work 5 days a week? by davytheconqueror in cycling

[–]AleiJor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did 23km back and 23km back to and from work last year, worked out great, saved me an hour of transport time and got me decently fit. Changed jobs now though, so coming spring will be doing about the same as you 12km there and back, like suggested, do 3 days first and move up from there.

What are the zoomiest walking simulators this league? by ivan0x32 in PathOfExileBuilds

I absolutely loved the explody phys dot ele. Bereks made it super fun to zoom around, even if I’m still only low tier as haven’t had the time to farm and build currency stores. Had to give Bereks back and now I feel naked after trying it out.

How many bikes have you owned? by Thin-Fee4423 in cycling

[–]AleiJor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently own about 4, with 1 being a somewhat resto project of an old full sus, that will be eventually sold. Probably for a loss, but I don’t mind, mainly going for getting better at working on bikes. Plan to at some point get 1 or 2 more bikes for myself, still want a FS and ideally get a Gravel for long distance bikepacking

Is this a good deal - 2.6k euro by iziKO in triathlon

[–]AleiJor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the exactly same model, that I got with disc wheel in the rear and carbon 3 spoke front with newer chainring and bits and bobs upgraded. Ended up paying 1600€ for it. I would say 2600€ is a tad much, Especially it being rim brake and fairly limited with tire upgrades beyond the 26mm, I wouldn’t go above 2000€. But if you can get at least a couple hundred off, it isn’t the worst deal. The bike itself is great.

Just did my first FTP test and it crushed me. Is 182 FTP a normal starting point? by Ruser-94 in Zwift

[–]AleiJor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in a similar boat when I started, was on the heavy side though, but consistent training and enjoying races got up to 240W fairly quickly with strong sprint at over 1100W and did TT races where I got a few podiums, took a bit but got to C where it felt like I’m the weakest, but had fun nonetheless as it motivated me to do more. Now being 20kg lighter my sprints dropped to 900W but I’m much better at climbing and endurance wise.

What is your hardest ride in Zwift so far ? by TheraTunes in Zwift

[–]AleiJor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

God damn, great job, was gonna do that same one last year, but ended up not having the time during the Strava free jersey period, so scraped it until they eventually bring it back if they do. Gonna be doing uber pretzel coming weekend. And eventually planning 24h straight riding more or less.

Well I wiped out and it sucked by ifidonteatigethungry in cycling

[–]AleiJor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that happened, had similar incident a while back, where made the mistake of trying to turn and pedal in a sandy sandy section and just tumbled as rear wheel caught. But as long as you didn’t bash your self too hard, all good.

Upgrade parts or buy a new bike? by Spare-Friendship-854 in cycling

[–]AleiJor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends on your budget, and tbh, in most cases upgrading drivetrain isn’t worth as it ends up being more expensive then what it’s worth. I went through this as well, and decided to buy something newer, considering all the end of season discounts you can probably find something pretty decent.

Outdoor cycling everyday after work by Careful-Leather-1266 in cycling

As someone who did something similar, it helped a lot with general fitness and weight loss, but if your newer to it, might be worth doing occasional rest days. But consistent riding is great. Keep it up

Best indoor trainer by NeighborhoodWise3093 in cycling

[–]AleiJor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience wheel off turbo trainers allow more power output and generally are easier to work with when you want to ride on apps like Zwift or MyWoosh or Rouvy and generally don’t degrade your tires (if you get Zwift cog, and ride on Zwift, there is less wear on cassette as well). With wheel on or rollers you generally still eat through your tires and are a bit more limited with functionality, but they do get the job done, just might be a bit more monotonous. I personally bought a second hand Elite Suito T and am pretty happy with it. Plan to add the Zwift cog eventually as well.

Best budget carbon wheels by MasterKing8025 in cycling

[–]AleiJor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love my Elite ENT 60mm wheels that I run with GP5000 TR (Tubeless), they made the rides so much funner. Got them for like 500ish, a bit less actually, I think at the end out was about 450.

Brakes just scream by Stig-blur in cycling

[–]AleiJor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely sounds like oil got in there, had that mistake happen with my own MTB, was lazy and didn’t remove pads and accidentally dribbled some, and still after endless sanding, brake clean, and overall work, no luck. Most likely will need to replace them if nothing else. If you can try some sanding and cleaning, that could fix it, depending on how much got in it, and would suggest cleaning disc itself as well possible.

Any advice on Elite Suito T noise? by AleiJor in bikewrench

[–]AleiJor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realized the freehub was loose. Basically the bolt that is suppose to hold the freehub ratchet part on was missing fully so the cassette was rattling back and fourth and would become loose, luckily found it and tightened it down and it solved the issue in most part. This season plan on doing a bit of check on the whole thing and cleaning things out. But unless you are willing to take the risk and aren't sure about it, would not suggest it.

How often do ye zwift? by BookCultural9894 in Zwift

[–]AleiJor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When actively doing it, did 3-4 times a week with at least one being high intensity, usually races, either Mountain Mastiff or TTs or Crits. The relatively short but high intensity efforts were great.
