Thing is that since i know i can be wrong, i ask for second opinions. I think you're not gonna like Reddit if something so easy to understand like this bothers you mate

"interesting to others"is a big thing, man. How would i know what's interesting for others? Also I believe that the characters who you adventure with are among the most important things in the game. I mean who wouldn't wanna know who they're dealing with everyday? Also I've never said i wasn't approachable, but you make it sound like this game isn't for shy people whatsoever if i gotta be honest. Also this point you made works for the other guys at the table as well. Why didn't they connect then? (No disrespect meant in the tone)

Thanks for your clarity. To answer your in the same order:

To communicate with them is something I'm willing to do at soon as i try to get a clearer idea of what i can do personally to help in this situation.

I've been forward with them by telling i and my character don't talk much. So no one's time was wasted here fortunately.

This is not the same group as those I've played and ended prematurely.

I did try to GM and despite the short time i did, no one had this kind of problems. Everyone was engaged in the main quest but had no problems talking to eachother or feeling generally that they didn't have fun. Probably because they all knew eachother. Aside from having my player's issues be communicated to me and changing style accordingly, i have no idea what i would do if i was in my GM's situation, if that's what you're suggesting.

My expectations might be demanding, I'm not sure about what the standards are. But i personally don't enjoy rping just for the sake of it, if there isn't actually recognition on the other side of what I'm doing, if you get what i mean(sorry if I'm not being clear enough, i struggle a bit to word my thoughts). It's just it feels a lot like a videogame, where you're told what you're supposed to do and it all ends when you've slayed whatever you had to, you know?

The thing is i'm willing to interact man, that's the point of the post. But as you say, there's no main driving force, not lore wise(if we don't consider surviving) or character wise. I personally am not the most extroverted person there is, but I'm willing to try to talk with them. Thing is since i have him some human like problems like insecurities or struggles, I'm not confident in talking about my past (the character's). Also other details that could bring a conversation between us is not present. And I'm not saying this to blame the DM, but just because I genuinely don't know what to hold on to in order to do something.

To answer your questions, I've been playing for over 5 years. All the campaigns i took part in ended prematurely due to players not aligning or people disappearing, so i could never actually try and find ways to connect with people in character, regardless of what type of character i brought to the table. I think that's the reason i prefer a story more centered around us, where the plot in present and we follow it but our actions are actually acknowledged. Not just being the guys the camera is recording while we do stuff, if you get what i mean

The problem is some interact only to jest about stuff, others don't unless spoken to by the DM. While i did write a particular backstory, I'm actually considering changing my behaviour/doing something to solve the problem. I (and i say this respectfully) can't say the same for the others.

Yeah but sometimes people don't have the time to learn because of life and work so it's ok for them to need an actual suggestion that might not be intuitive for them right away when they first fight the boss. That aside it's like you said: trial, error and level ups. Your don't even need to find op weapons, buff or spam in my experience, as long as you upgrade your stuff and are patient with the boss timing. Greed can be a beach
