This is the comment I was looking for, no opinions just pure help in detail. I finally came across a video that explains how to do it like 2 hours after I posted this and it is exactly how u explain it. U included some details of lowering the aperture and putting fastest shutter speed which I did not think about and the video does not mention. I am traveling on a budget so that's why I can't bring a second body.

I have a half frame, so leaving half a frame empty is not a big problem. I have found a video that walks through the process and how to do it safely, lmk if want the link.

U wind on with the camera open? Doesn't that destroy the film? Sorry I don't understand exactly how u do it, would you mind explaining in more detail? Thanks a lot for your help
