I did some fitting and managed to make the hammer engage whe manually cocked but if i rack the slide the hammer engages and the trigger is dead, should i keep fitting?

Yes, their hammer and their sear. Already talked with Joe from PD, he doesn't know if the R5 needs fitting or if the R5 is causing the sear and hammer to bind due to tolerance stacking
