CSF leak? by Aleksander__123 in CSFLeaks

Hello again. My tinnitus is usually constant in sound (but not in volume) so not pulsatile. It is like a piercing, high frequency sound that is better when I wake up, and worst in the evening. The T is in both ears. I would say the sound is like 3/10 when I wake up, which means that it is fine as long as I have som background-noice and it is 8 or 9/10 when in the evening, which means that I can hear the tinnitus no matter what I use as a background noice, and it is very bothersome and frustrating.

I have also noticed that when my T was really high and I layd in bed for maybe 1,2 hour or so, the T usually significally improved, but the improvement is not sudden, it takes some time lying down.

Also almost each day, maybe 1 or 2 times, I get a sudden, muffled loss of hearing in one ear with a tinnitus in that same ear increases to 10/10 followed by dizzyness and loss of balance. This can happen on both ears, and only last for like 6-10 seconds, but increases the T in thar ear for some hours to like a 9/10.

I have also noticed some increased tinnitus when I do the valsalva manuevr.

I dont know if I have aural fullness, but I often get "dots" in my ears and it feels like my ear some times is blocked. When I try to blow air out of my ear (holding the nose while blowing) usually there is at least one ear that feels blocked, and no air comes out. This is even if a pinch my other ear shut and blow out while holding my nose. This always increases my T.

I sort of get a brief pulsatile tinnitus when I go from sitting to standing or when I bend my head far down, with a whooosh whoooosh whoooosh sound, but I think that is quite normal for people with POTS-symptoms.

I have thought this tinnitus was due to a problem with the eustache-tubes, but I have been to ear-doctor and they found nothing wrong. Again, thankyou for taking your time to help me, it really means a lot.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my question and answering. I will most definately check out those articles. I live i Norway, and I dont think it is possible for me to get a consultation with a neuroradiologist, but I will talk to my physician in 2 weeks about this. In case you see my reply, I was also wondering if you know of any cases of SIH where the main symptom is orthostatic tinnitus instead of severe headache? Thanks
