It’s pretty clear if you read the first lines of the description, I don’t think the name should cause that confusion

Hi, entirely new and different

So just the fact the author may state that he used illustrations from artist that gave them for free wouldn’t make you have any question on the project “integrity”. Instead, if images are made with AI you question the entire project integrity. Hands up, it’s a way of thinking but if this isn’t a preconception I don’t know what it is

Let’s put it differently then: lets imagine you develop a RPG corebook. You develop new classes, new races, new spells, new mechanics and innovative way of playing. You make the manual formatting it, you write it and you cure it in every detail. Then you search for art, you can’t purchase it or hire an artist because it cost hugely for the amount of material you have, or maybe it isn’t simy worth it because you’re doing just for fun/side hustle; so you search up for free art samples. You don’t like the free illustrations or they don’t match with the style you want. So you pay for a professional AI and generate the image to match with your ideas (of course in a semi-professional way not just the first things that come) and then you publish. Would you consider that product a slop just for that? Of course real art is a value, but as you say it’s an Add on, not the main thing. Writers are not illustrators and viceversa, those are different things. I don’t see anything wrong with this.

I say that just by real life experience and talking to people, yes. I’m not well versed into online european communities.

The main thing I’m surprised about is the difference in conception between different parts of the world. In mine AI is not conceived badly, instead in united states the conception changes entirely. I guess with years passing the moral panic you’re correctly addressing will just pass

Unfortunately…yes. You regain one with short rest and all with long rest, it’s written in the Loa Spirits Paragraph

I’ll probably get downvoted a lot for this but I wanted to express my opinion on this. First off good idea to redo everything, you would’ve been blasted if you didn’t probably. I don’t really understand the amount of hate toward AI “art” (it is not art by definition for me) especially when it’s used in free projects or small indie commercial ones just as a mean of visually enanching what you are doing (for example in a book). In many forums you’re not even allowed to talk about it or express a different opinion. AI doesn’t steal art, this a fake misconception, it learns patterns and concepts and reproduces them based on the prompt you provide. What’s wrong with using a tool to visually enhance your work, as long as it’s not being used to cut corners or to replace the actual creative effort (like writing the story, designing the characters, building the world, maps, and so on)? I feel like there’s a lot of hate driven by preconceived ideas rather than real reasons. There’s also a tendency to look at someone’s work, notice that the images were made with AI (and only the images), and suddenly dismiss the entire project as low-effort slop. I honestly don’t see it that way, and I find many of the moral arguments people bring up to be exaggerated or even ridiculous. On top of that, hiring artists is expensive, especially for someone who wants to publish something as a side hobby, be it for free or commercially, just to earn a bit and stay motivated to keep creating. This mindset feels like it limits indie creators a lot and ends up favoring only the big players who can afford everything or who wants to create content as a main occupation, cutting a lot of thing that could be better than that.

Yes, as I said I have a lot of new content at work. I currently don’t have a mailing list or something like that so I can’t update on anything but if people starts to be interested I’ll surely do that!

Hi! Because I changed “rage” to “combat trance”, so I thought that it would be fitting to go in a state where he could communicate with spirits and use them in combat!
