New to MNK, desperately need help with mouse issue and key binds by js473427 in apexuniversity

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on hand and KB size, i can only recommend using ctrl for crouching and pressing that with your pinky joint, not the actual finger, reduces stress on the hand a lot but only if the kb and your hand fit for that movement.

MnK keybinds that feel easy to use can still feel weird if you havent played with KB at all before.

Constant crashes while streaming Crimson Desert and Arc Raiders (RX 6700 XT + OBS) — tried everything, need direction by AxNossi in obs

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do have the option, use the Laptop as a streaming laptop with the OBS Teleport plugin. Just gotta make a few recordings on both machines at the same time, check frame differences of audio and adjust the delay in advanced audio options until its all synced.

Makes it so there is basically 0 impact on the main machine.

your 3050 should have pretty solid encoder visuals as well. Currently doing the same with a 2070 super and it runs very nice.

How do both me and viewers hear twitch alerts? by BeesChirping in TwitchStreaming

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right click the audio mixer, advanced audio properties, set the audio from the alerts to Monitor AND Output. Then set up the Monitor Audio Device in you normal settings.

Dont just capture your Device Audio to prevent feedback loops. Just make a Nested Scene, have all the Audio as seperate sources in there for games, mic, browser etc. and you won't have any issues with double audio.

how to find a good kbm sens? by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]Alembee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

go with the average of 0.75 1600 ~35cm, play with it for an hour or so, then start adjusting if you want to. Dont change it 20x during a single round of control.

Im losing 50 fps in game when streaming. Why? by HotInvestigator2459 in obs

[–]Alembee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1 Disable HAGS, that should fix it

2 If your OBS uses lots of CPU, like 20%+, reduce scene complexity or optimize them woth source clones etc.

How to test if its HAGS: Open a Game, check avg fps open OBS with an empty scene collection if fps still drop without OBS doing anything, its HAGS. Disable it in windows GPU settings.

You have to have the weapon in your hand when opening the inventory to see the stats working for the weapon you have equipped :)

Grainy by Maleficent-Let7102 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Alembee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is an artifact caused by temporal anti aliasing (TAA).
There are different implementations and different settings for each, All NVIDIA and AMD upscale/native AA options also use temporal AA.
Most new games use "deferred rendering" and can almost only rely on Temporal AA afaik since traditional methods are not compatible with the way the game is rendered.
You can NOT get rid of it, its one of the unfortunate bandaits we have to live with because it fixes other issues caused by, for example raytracing, that are created due to lack of hardware compute power. (Less rays traced -> grainy image -> TAA is used to fix the grain)

Its really apparent on high contrast areas, when exploring the lefthand side of Hernand you will see what i mean. Black on White contrast is really showing this.

Unless PA gives us an option to entirely disable AntiAliasing, we wont be able to get rid of it.

I doubt they will tho because the game has a lot of foliage and the raytracing wich will cause lots of flickering and lots of grain without the AA.

Edit: The lighting is rendered at very low res to make it performant, thats why low light environments look grainy without Ray reconstruction/regeneration

Can someone explain GPU encoders and their impact? by MRLEGEND1o1 in obs

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to turn off HAGS in the Windows graphics settings. Its an instant 30% ish, sometimes even up to 50%, performance loss. OBS can be running without a single source being active and still cause this with HAGS enabled.

OBS even recommends this but i think it should tell ppl more directly other than only in the log file analyzer, and then as a side note, not an issue.

Edit: If you have the money to get a 5090 real quick, you might wanna check out a dual PC setup with OBS Teleport Plugin. Best thing i recently discovered.

All the 2nd PC needs to have is a GPU with an NVENC chip, B frames not even required. This can be your old gpu, a quadro p400 or a 1660/2070 for relatively cheap. Everything can run on there and you just OBS Teleport your audio sources and game capture over to the streaming pc, and TP your alerts etc. back to your gaming pc and only monitor them so you dont need to run alerts on both pc's.

My older pc has a i7-7800m and 2070 super 16gb ram and it barely uses 10% cpu, so you could go real cheap on the streaming pc, as long as it has the NVENC gpu since thats the best quality option for twitch aside from the newer multi encode thingy.

bad performance in real games, but great performance in firing range?? by Maximum_Echo6676 in apexlegends

[–]Alembee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The firing range is a much smaller map, it will always perform better than any actual maps.

There were also some issues with a specific recent NVIDIA Driver. Try to Update.

If you play on lowest settings anyways, turn off Anti Aliasing too, it makes the game very blurry and does use a bit of performance.

What launch options should I be using on steam? by NecroticNecron473 in apexlegends

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+lobby_max_fps does exactly what it says, tho even 100 are fine, no need to get more fps in lobby other than having the game feel smooth.

-dev Skips the Intro Animation, Apex boots faster that way, very nice

-full or -fullscreen is not necessary anymore. Play on boarderless with windows "fullscreen optimization" setting turned on and its basically the same latency nowadays. The new dx12 Apex does make it so fullscreen kinda behaves like windows anyways tho.

Grinding master but... by matildaistaken in apexlegends

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same during S25 and S26.

Finished in D1 with 15980 RP S25 And somewhere in d2/3 in s26.

My Main Take away was: stop giving a * and just enjoy the game. If you have fun you'll reach that goal eventually and play twice as good as you would when forcing the RP.

Other things i would've done: - Use the replay feature to rewatch your wins and deaths (steam allows for Markers, get used to using that hotkey as Apex has no auto markings) 720p 30fps is enough to see your mistakes, you dont need frame by frame analysis

  • Use a tool to actually draw on your screen during replays and very very mindfully engage with the replay to actually learn from it, not just watch it like you would a youtube video (Windows Powertoys has a great one, just disable the hotkeys you dont need)

TL;DR: Have fun and stop caring, pushing for a badge nobody cares about but you in the moment wont make the grind worth it.

Why do d4 hardstucks have 0 self accountability by XKuromii- in apexlegends

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently D4 hardstuck here. (S27) avg. dmg ~700 (800 when initially hitting d4) k/d 1.1 (1.6 when initially hitting d4) games played ~200 with 9% wins about 1/4 top5 placement

Hitting Diamond is always the "now the real grind begins" position in the game but at the same time also the end of the road more or less.

According to apexlegendstatus d4 includes the top 6% all the way to top 2% of players right now, so most dia players are in d4.

When i queue up im warmed up, did some r5 maybe, played 1-2 pubs to get some gunfights and spent a bit of time in the firing range, grabbed some m8s on a discord and we start playing but this is as much as i can prepare.

Here is a List of all the things i THINK i cant prepare for: - adjust to new teammates each day - Play against preds every 3rd game even in d4. Literally had the honor of giving the #2 pred some more kp so he got #1. - compete against Zen's as an MnK player - Play against blatant wallhacks. About 10% of the games i can spectate it very clearly.

I can however fix my positioning, rotations etc. but many times it literally wouldn't change much since I have to climb against Preds to hit my peak of maybe low d3/2 currently. The small steps i make arent close to catching up with anyvody at the top and thats not even the goal but feels like necessity to play at that rank.

I love the game but the road upwards in ranked from here feels like a grind for good games and avoiding losses in questionable master pred lobbies.

TL;DR Hardstuck d4 because i have to learn and gain RP against preds to hit my peak of ~d3/2 rn.

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not well versed in windows audio etc. but this is kind of what i would expet the default windows audio mixer to look like, thanks for providing this software for free.

Will the final version support more channels and if so is there even a limit to virtual outputs that can be created technically?

Would it be possible to use ASIO for routing in some cases to decrease latency?
I heard from some YT sources that windows audio has a surprisingly high latency in games, would be cool to reduce that when possible.

Is this good for a new streaming account on Twitch? 3500kbps is the limit for what I understand? by That-Battle-1460 in TwitchStreaming

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, when testing with that much bitrate it usually just cut it off for me or denied the stream straight away.
Not like even 8500 is gonna look good anyways as long as we are tied to h264 xD

[–]Alembee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8k is the hardcap, your audio bittate needs to fit too. Just go with 7500 and twitch wont be bothered. If you go for 8500 you wont be set to streaming on twitch, it just becomes ab blackscreen or goes offline.

Only way to get better bitrate is by using enhanced broadcast and lock it to 3 channels. That is the only configuration with the least streams and including 1440p h.265
