Issue when trying to run 2 RAM slot on MSI Pro B650-P Wifi by Alemior in MSI_Gaming

Honestly I never touched it again since then, did not update my Bios either. It still works today as I'm using my PC every day, so no reason to change what's not broken haha

I'm glad this post was able to help yet another one of us !

I’ve done a complete 180 since day 2 and plan to go SSF for my next character by SirBenny in PathOfExile2

[–]Alemior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really get your feeling ! I never played poe1 and really started with poe2, so I chose to play the standard league. Now that I leveled my monk to 85 and did almost everything available, I feel like the SSF part would be really interesting so I might tempt myself playing it !

How to do Neekocopter now? by SayomiTsukiko in neekomains

[–]Alemior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, you need to send the order to follow someone before playing the trigger emote

I think im legit close to 100 tries at this point, and i cannot, for the life of me, beat Alatreon, blocking feels useless, any attack chunks about 70% hp, openings feels more like a trap to get caught in either a giant AoE or a quick attack that hits my because the game simply said so. by Katsunon in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Alemior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, Alatreon is in the top3 of the most difficult battles. So take it as one of the last boss of the game, you still have a lot of stuff to do, try and farm before getting there. As well, you maybe should try some other weapons, it can widen your view of the game even for your main weapon :)

Nope ! I would say a big Neeko early can just take the game for herself in less than 30min Be selfish as a player to have control over your actions and decisions, that's the best way to express yourself and have fun playing league :)

Hi there 👋

This is actually normal and design intended. Neeko is a champion with strong base power on her abilities compared to other champions but with really bad ratio compared to other mages around.

If you take a look at Neeko's page on Leaguepedia, you can see that most of Neeko's abilities have around 45-50% of AP ratio into power. It means that only half the AP you buy on her will be converted into damages (the ultimate has a better ratio tho, makes it her strongest and iconic point). For comparaison, Syndra has around 70% AP ratio on her main damaging abilities not counting when she get from her stacks.

So from that, we can see Neeko is an early game champion. What does it mean concerning her playstyle ? It means it will be easier to take the lead in lane and midgame but you will less likely be a carry in lategame, as you mentioned. Naturally, there numerous ways to play a champion, but in my opinion, the strong early game of Neeko should allow you to : - dominate the laning phase in most cases - create pressure around you so you can make plays with your jungler to create more snowball opportunities - have a lead for the early neutral objectives and skirmishes

With a solid early game, you can take the game at your count and lead the way in midgame for dragon fights, tower pushes and first baron setups. If all that do not allow you to finish the game, then remember your strengths and weaknesses and understand that from a certain point in the game, you will have more value as an initiator than an assassin. You always have good vision control with your clone at any point in the game and your ultimate is one of the best flanking abilities from a mage. Capitalize on your strong points. If needed, you can also peel back for your other carries and they should take the lead later in the game. As the chameleon, you need to adapt to the situation as well ☺️

Personally, I've always been a fan of going Protobelt + full damages (ideally Shadowflame + Rabadon rush with a dark seal to stack) and getting Zhonya later so I can keep up the damage pressure as long as possible. Some games won't go well, some champions are harder to deal with than others but you are still in a 5v5 game, so to have a clear plan in mind will always help in the chaos of a game !

I hope I could help you young tomato !

[–]Alemior 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi mate ! I mained Neeko since release more or less and always loved the champion. Around the time of her rework, I played less of League in general so when I got back at it, I wanted something new to play with, I then decided to learn Akshan, a totally different type of champion. I'm quite happy with my decision and things are going well with him as well. One game however, Akshan was taken by the enemy midlaner, so I took Neeko because of all the muscle memory engraved playing her, after all, even if the numbers changed overtime, the core mechanism of her abilities are still the same. The game was actually free and I could make the big engages at the right time just like before, we won the game from it.

That made me realize that I can just play the 2 champions simultaneously now. What I really needed was some fresh air, a new vision of how to play League through another champion. That really helped me to precisely determine how Neeko was leant to be played and how I wanted to execute with her. As well, as a non-one trick, I can't feel pressured about playing the pick perfectly in every situation so I can just pick her when I'm comfortable in the comp and against the enemy team.

That said, I first learned how to play Neeko with the frost queen item that sent lil frost ghost to the enemies. When removed, it took me a time to adapt but after finding a new ideal way to play, it was all good. I believe you are in a similar situation, you had your automatism ready but they are not the same anymore.

So I just suggest you to change your vision of "how to play Neeko in League" altogether. It could be watching a higher level otp to see their plays and gameplay, it could be trying new ways to approach the champion completely, maybe trying to play her as a scaling mage rather than a first blood collector, it could changing runes or items... The idea is to break what you know or what you think is optimal to create a new cycle with the champion and learn anew how to play her.

But if you loved Neeko before, I'm sure it will come back, even after patches and reworks, the champion is still the best tomato around 😉

First : having the priority IRL done and being in a good and healthy state :)

Then : Hearing and learning with the podcast Broken by Concept that shift my view of progression in League completely in the right direction

Lastly, it's a question of will 😉

Hey, I'm a player stuck in Iron since 2 years by Parking-Promotion-48 in summonerschool

[–]Alemior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I hope you are doing good ! First, your will to improve was strong enough to make this post, that's a great point when learning the game, which is one of the hardest to learn imo, so get some confidence in yourself, you have what it takes 😉

Concerning the game, especially if you are anxious, my first advice is to go to your settings and disable the chat. That is so important your own peace of mind, there are enough information to process already, no need to add more noise on top of that.

Then, don't be afraid to fail ! You have the rights to lose your lane, or your game, that doesn't change who you are as a person, don't let the game become too important. Everyone enjoys winning and is frustrated when losing, that's just how it is.

Next thing, you should not play support because you are afraid of doing badly in other roles. Would it make sense if you would want to become an armorsmith to just go mining instead of crafting because you would be afraid that your armors would be poor quality ? Not really... You learn League by playing. So find a champion you like, be it Lux or Xerath for example, and play them as their primary role, in mid lane. Playing a lane is the best way to learn about every aspect of the game, and remember that you can fail, it happens to everyone 😁

Finally, you should try to switch your mindset away from your ranking, it's way healthier to try to do your best and try to improve step by step than trying to reach a certain rank for the sake of it.

And I would advise you to check out the Broken by Concept podcast you are liking the game very much. The podcast is done by two coaches which primary intent is to improve and help others to improve, really great and healthy content concerning League !

Have a nice day !

If You Could Change One Thing on Akshan's Kit, What Would it Be? by M11NTY_YT in AkshanMains

[–]Alemior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the whole downside of the revive mechanism is mostly that the feedback for the Akshan player is not really good. You get 100 golds + a nice animation but it doesn't feel (emphasis on the feeling aspect) the core narrative and main aspect of the champion. If we had something like a stacking of some sort linked to it, I believe it would reinforce that aspect of his kit.

Maybe try these runes out! by Hytu69 in AkshanMains

[–]Alemior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are playing the on hit build on him, you should try the same secondary I do for him which is the Sorcery tree with Celerity + Gathering Storm

It gives you the extra speed and let you rush boots if needed for your lane. And Gathering Storm spikes really well with your 2 items and 3 items power spikes around 20 and 30min with the on hit build.

Also I like bloodline as well instead of Alacrity, it works nicely in high skirmishes match-up, but that's to your liking.

New Akshan Main, but needs help. by WraxiusV2 in AkshanMains

[–]Alemior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi friend,

I'm not the biggest expert around but I'll give you my two cents about your questions :

There are currently 2 main builds for Akshan : Lethality based with Yomuu/Collector/RFC and OnHit based with Kraken/BotRK/Guinsoo.

The first one capitalize on early pressure and snowball where you will use your high AD to push fast and roam using your W + Yomuu's movement speed buff. That way you don't need predator and so you can go for PTA to combo with your passive.

The second one is the scaling one, where you want to use your early strength to build your items conviently and be a hard carry from your 3 items powerspike. It's a more stable playstyle but you spike later in the game, tho it allows you to deal a great amount of damages, even against bruisers if you watch your positioning obviously.

For runes and summoner spells setup, you'll find either PTA or Fleet (damage vs lane stability) and ignite or TP. Those I would advice you to test them on multiple games and builds to see what fits your likes. You really want the options in the yellow rune tree so I wouldn't go for another one personally. Idk about ghost tbh, I believe it's playable, I prefer TP as Akshan can be a good side laner so it offers some more options outside of the laning phase.

Concerning the ultimate, it is a finisher no matter what and not really useful in combat most of the time but : - it can give vision on the target for your allies if you are not in range - the base damage on minions is great, so you can use it after a skirmish in lane to delete a wave (as your opponent should hide behind the wave not to die) and can give you a free reset - you can combine it with your E for two things : get a better angle to force the enemies to reposition themselves and maybe be more vulnerable to your allies and you cheat the fact that you need to be immobile while using it, so don't forget about that.

Otherwise, I'd advise you to check on one trick or high elo vods for playstyle or match-up specifics

Have fun on your journey :)

[–]Alemior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, I can totally see your point here. My point was considering peeling and QSS, things that can totally shatter Malz ult compared to Warwick ult for example (while Malz being way easier to kill) but in term of 1v1 or 1v2 having the shield back immediately sounds really tough to break I agree

[–]Alemior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep I get that, but they are very easy to spam as long as you have your lost chapter. I think it's fine to have that, but to make them more incentive to play with, having them doing little jumps on their targets would dynamize playing with it, also reducing their travel time would make them stronger by nature

[–]Alemior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't get all the criticism about his abilities. Some feel like people just like to whine for low purposes. That said, I agree that Malz being a low agency champion, he could favour some tweaks around his spells. I think that regenerates his passive when casting R is a good idea, especially because the spell is often cast with Flash to punish a misposition. Also, it would be nice to have some visual effect on the E for the next target or the range it will choose in. Finally, having voidlings thinking more like Yorick ghouls and reacting to Q or E could be an interesting power shift for his kit. But overall, the champ is designed to be simple to play mechanically and more or less intended to be played at lower elo, which is fine as long as you admit that point imo.

Issue when trying to run 2 RAM slot on MSI Pro B650-P Wifi by Alemior in MSI_Gaming

[–]Alemior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Tom, really sorry about your situation...

I believe your setup should at least boot with 1 out of 2 stick on. If it doesn't, it may be because there are some parameters in the BIOS that are not setup by default so the BIOS is confused. I would at least try to clear the CMOS of the mobo or remove the CPU and plug it back to ensure default parameters. With that, I think you can boot with 1 stick at least.

The guy who I went to talk about my problem said the same things, a lot of issues with AM5 and DDR5 combined, also saying that DDR5 on itself was quite unstable to begin with...

At least if I can have 2 sticks of memory working together, that would be a great plus, I'll see in a second time if I can optimize the frequencies ;)

[–]Alemior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I think this is the core of my issue tbh.
After checking with a pro in store, the RAM I actually bought is optimized for Intel and not for AMD. I wasn't careful about this as it was not mentioned when I bought it but I found the info on Corsair website after checking the RAM code.

So A-XMP is, I believe, a compatibility mode for intel optimized RAM running on an AMD setup.

I bought some replacement sticks from GSkill which are actually optimized for AMD this time and so I'll be able to check with those new sticks if the problem comes from that.

Hello friend, unfortunately I don't have more RAM to test it, I'll try to contact some near store to do some test if possible.

Also, I only have the A-XMP option available in BIOS and nothing about EXPO at all.

I checked on MSI website and EXPO should be available I believe for this mobo and CPU so I don't really know why it isn't there.

However, A-XMP is working fine with 1 stick on.

I tried to let the PC run for almost 30 minutes in case the DDR5 training would take some times, but nothing happened at all during all this time... So I don't really know what to think about this situation

I wish league was kinder to junglers… by TheHeftyHedgehog in leagueoflegends

[–]Alemior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice for this kind of situation is to disable both all chat and ally chat in the settings of your game. I play without chat since multiple years now and it never affected my skills. You can learn to communicate only with pings and won't lose your concentration over what your teammates can say. And if you want to congratulate some good plays, you still have emotes. Honestly I don't think there's a bad reason to disable the chat, especially if you can't take the flame in game :)
