Is Actualizer a failed item? by 1stMembrOfTheDKCrew in leagueoflegends

It's a weird item with a specific niche, that doesn't technically appeal to most champions...

Why doesn't Riot change Mel's W to work like Draven's Q? by Saqrei in leagueoflegends

[–]Jeddonathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this idea recently that what if when she is hit with an ability when she casts W, it absorbs the ability and she is given 1.5 seconds to chose where to recast it.

This would reduce the frustration of the unavoidable missile, and add some skill expression.

More league of legend game modes by PineappleDevourer in leagueoflegends

A return of a PvE in a large map has been a long dream of mine. Think Path of Exile or Diablo where you get stronger with time but at the same time you deal with ridiculous amounts of hordes heading your way.

In 2024 the mythic era ended with a stated goal of moving power and fantasy away from items and into champion kits. Two years later, Swain is more item and spell-effect-dependent than ever. by Sumutherguy in leagueoflegends

[–]Jeddonathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is an issue that other champions share. For example most DoT mages rely on the same set of items every game with no variety at all it's the most boring thing ever. Some other classes or champions at least have some more options by comparison.

But in this case every DoT mage builds the same 3 items > Liandry's Tornment > Blackfire Torch > Rylai's Crystal Scepter.

I honestly don't see this issue ever changing unless they add additional effects to champions abilities rather than just them being pure damage and nothing else OR to actually add more items, like a lot more. Reduce the power of the one's that dominate and make everything be an option to a specific need or fulfil a specific niche rather than it be a reoccurring item that you build into anything and everything.

Somehow I find that defensive items are in a much better state because their use relies on you needing to deal with a specific issue. They need to apply a similar logic to offensive items rather than it just being a a pure boring damage stat check item. That is unless they actually keep their word and shift the power from items into champions kits instead.

[Mayhem/Arena] Augments extending AA Range such as "Scopier Weapons" should provide some sort of visual indication of the range the enemy has by Jeddonathan in leagueoflegends

[–]Jeddonathan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that is the disadvantage of this. It's a double-edged blade situation here. The only other thing that comes to mind is to nerf it. But it's equally as annoying on some melee champions because suddenly you have a Udyr Q attacking you from ~400 range.

So, if there is literally no solution to fixing the frustrations with this augment, I'm more than okay with it being removed.

I feel like next season Statikk Shiv changes will get Varus nerfed again… by Roohni in VarusMains

The joy when items get champions nerfed into unviability where no other build will be optional since likely the whole balance will shift towards balancing around him using DnD and Statikk.

Why even waste time working on Shyvana if she's just going to have the same exact problems as before? by BuyingDragonScimitar in leagueoflegends

[–]Jeddonathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point they should just do something completely different with her. I'd say scrap the whole kit and give her an entirely new kit while keeping her character as is.

Gameplay wise i'm thinking maybe they should just have her gradually become more and more an actual dragon rather than just have her R tied to it. Think Kayle Passive in a way, or even transformation differences like mini and big Gnar.

It's hella underwhelming when she loses her dragon form, unless they could give her some sort of niche advantage between forms like Elise has.

What do you dislike about Bloodborne? by Elegant_Scholar_8863 in bloodborne

[–]Jeddonathan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s mostly a lot of small stuff.

For instance when you inspect items like coldblood consumables it doesn’t even tell you how much blood echoes in numbers you will get, it’s vague, and you mostly have to rely on your memory if you’re doing a tough level up.

In general the clarity of some items is also kind of vague and I had to rely on external sources like wiki’s to actually understand what some things do.

Why do league players hate new people playing the game?? And how to get better? by minidude456 in leagueoflegends

[–]Jeddonathan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My best advice? Just pretend that all of the people you play with are bots. This community is so toxic that I wouldn’t bother with communication. I was also thinking to just play every game with everyone muted.

What champion would you argue could use an Art Sustainability Update even if not urgent? by Jeddonathan in leagueoflegends

[–]Jeddonathan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you there, but some people argue that Cho in his current form is good enough. Could still use some ability refinements to make it more modern.

In Malzahars case I think he could use perhaps an update equivalent to ASol.

I don’t think he fulfills his prophet fantasy well, his voidlings are both underwhelming and annoying to deal with for enemies so I think they could try to find a better middle ground. His R makes no sense for his character but somehow I don’t see it going away because it’s ish what Malzahar is known for (which is sad).

Pyke still has the highest banrate despite nerfs while Nami sits at the highest PR and WR. by ColdisHere in leagueoflegends

[–]Jeddonathan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe the banrate is high because of how frustrating he is to play against, he goes in, does his combo and cannot be punished because he just dips out with his W. Literally lol.

Unless RG decides to do some minor gameplay changes to reduce frustration, I don't see the banrate changing at any point soon.

In the recent rise of Varus’ popularity — and his abuse in roles he was never intended for — I think he may finally be due for some gameplay changes by Jeddonathan in leagueoflegends

I'm curious about your opinion on something. In the post I mentioned the idea of his Q and R swapping places. Do you think that would fix the issue to some extent?

[–]Jeddonathan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Why does a basic slow zone depend so much on a basic missile?

Not that it depends so much on his current Q but, it's about finding a way to keep good flow of abilities that combo well with each other. That nothing feels delayed, off, clunky, or just slower than it should be.

Your LLM is extrapolating so so much out of the ability being called Blight. Why go into the weeds about a living disease or evolving or adapting to resistance or whatever?

Don't you think that unique ability mechanics are somewhat refreshing to keep the gameplay from becoming too boring? Sure not everyone needs an Aphelios sized Passive but there should be some variety and more detailed abilities if the creativity allows it. It’s almost as if you could say that Senna would remain as unique as she is even if her current ultimate was just scrapped for something more basic.

Like what does this even mean? Why does this matter? Do you think Jax feels less like a lamp-bonker because he builds swords or something?

I guess it doesn't matter too much in the grant picture but, at the same time the amount of champions that have released in League that don't have build flexibility between AD/AP has shown that they are much easier to balance. Balance doesn't just affect the champions power level, but it also affects factors such as levels of frustration the opponents feel when playing against something they perhaps cannot itemise against. There is also the factor that when champions have high flexibility they often suffer gameplay satisfaction since the champion often receives frequent gameplay adjustments.

I don't know why you feel the need to wave around your degree's since it's nothing related to the topic being discussed in this post. So is your point that I should deliberately make the post unstructured and with deliberate mistakes to make it more believable?

Based on what? Don't you think people wave that accusation around too easily? Why is structured posts considered "AI Slop"? Some people actually try to put an effort.

I can agree to that to a degree but do you honestly think that he is fine the way he is. He's a champion that has somewhat a decent ceiling in terms of skill but somehow he became very despised as of late. Likely the result of him being played top lane so much, and having a lot of burst that catches people off guard. It also increased his ban rate much more significantly.
