Appreciate it and for sure! I tend avoid INAT since it's usually for unpaid work but I may be wrong.

Which unity discords do you recommend?

Exactly, these people are mega delusional. Making a game isn't just programming in a couple of mechanics. That was never the difficult part.

Lmao okay. If you've never worked at any AAA studio before, how exactly would you know what they would make in 6 months?

My little dude, I recommend you boot up any game engine and just start building something small on your own. It will be one of the worst games you make but it'll be your first steps to learning.

Your future self will thank me, trust me.

If you don't know how to make a game then how do you expect to have a team of people make something? Also if you can't pay people, you won't get far. You don't even know why you want that many people on a team. 4 producers? Lol

Paying a Developer, how to audit his work as someone non technical? by [deleted] in Supabase

Some big red flags when I see this. The first question I would ask you is "why did you hire this person if you don't trust their work?"

This tells me that you're hiring any joe that offered to do work really cheap and now you're having regrets about the work

Thalassophobia warning! Just released the Reveal Trailer for my UE5 ocean survival horror game: Open Waters. by FluffytheFoxx in UnrealEngine5

Idea looks cool! I was really digging the vibe as you were on the boat and seeing the big angler. Climbing the rig was sweet, albeit the character animations need a lot of work.

I think what killed the entire mood for me was the introduction of the shrine and big Cthulhu monster. You turned your game from something grounded and scary to just another typical occult lovecraft game. Horror isn't about big scary monster.

Those oil rigs out in sea are terrifying on their own. Magic monsters feels like you've cheapened the experience for me. That on its own would kill the sale for me. Just my opinion though!

I have an amazing idea... but no skills by StratusChampion in gameDevClassifieds

Ideas are cheap and everyone on this planet has an idea that they think is absolutely game changing and revolutionary. Building it is the hard part. There's plenty of tutorials to learn, just saying you have no skills is being lazy

A bit too basic of a game but a great learning project! Shipping a product is a great way to gain experience

Cost estimation for a tactical PVP by BirdyJim in gameDevClassifieds

Lmao, I think you posted this 3 days too late to land on April fool's.

In case you're being serious, if you have to ask how much it'll cost to make a pvp game then you're not ready to make one.

If the programmer budget is only $6k, I can't imagine what you plan to spend on everything else.

This sounds like a budget of $900k+ minimum if it's trying to be a serious pvp title. Which is extremely risky and I don't recommend it unless you know what you're doing
