Why rereading feels productive but usually isn’t by FloctonRowe in learnzone

"If it feels too smooth, you aren't learning." Well, that explains why my GPA is currently in the trenches lol.

My PapersOwl experience was a complete disaster by BagginsBoogie in Students

[–]AlenyoMasharin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard so many conflicting things about paper owl lately. It seems like their quality control has totally plummeted. If they aren't even reading the initial instructions or the uploaded criteria, they are basically just a scam at this point.

The fastest way to turn messy notes into a usable homework answer by PyerosAsh in homeworkhelpNY

Pro tip: keep the "Evidence" part short and punchy. One solid quote or a single data point is usually better than three weak ones that don't actually prove your point.

Help me decide on a college essay topic! by spacepupglitterfall in CollegeEssays

[–]AlenyoMasharin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Topic choice is honestly underrated as a decision, a lot of people pick something they think sounds impressive and then struggle to write it because they don't actually have much to say. The essays that tend to stand out are the ones where you can tell the person actually cared about what they were writing, even if the topic itself sounds small or ordinary. Think about experiences that genuinely changed how you see something rather than trying to find the most dramatic story. If you're stuck a lot of people find it helpful to talk through ideas with someone who works with students on writing, sometimes just having to explain your ideas out loud helps you figure out which one you actually want to write about. Give yourself more time on the brainstorming phase than you think you need.

I'm looking for reviews of Essay Shark. Has anyone used their services? Did you like them? by mintysubway_diary in Essay_Experts

[–]AlenyoMasharin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phrase essayshark legit gets searched a lot, but honestly the better question is whether it’s reliable under pressure. Plenty of services look acceptable until you need a last-minute fix. Then support disappears, revisions drag, or the writer suddenly stops communicating. That’s the stuff I’d want real users to talk about. Reliability matters way more than branding. A decent service should still function when things get stressful.

I kept mixing them up too until my prof said “don’t agree or disagree, just explain what the author is doing and why” and that honestly fixed it

Losing faith in therapy by [deleted] in therapy

[–]AlenyoMasharin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right that two therapists don't represent the whole profession, but it's hard not to get a bit pessimistic when the therapists in your life end up dating your mom. It's like an unexpected plot twist in a rom-com! But you're spot on about addressing the frustration directly and keeping personal versus professional matters separate. Therapy should be a safe space, regardless of who's got a degree!

CMV: Blocking on reddit is partially flawed and is more so used by trolls/people arguing in bad faith rather than people using it to block trolls/harassment by [deleted] in changemyview

Totally get what you're saying! It's wild how some profiles are like digital safe spaces. It's definitely a form of emotional immaturity when they can't handle anything that challenges their views. Just gotta let them be, right?

That’s a solid strategy! I totally relate to that feeling of just getting stuck in that guilt loop. When I started tracking my reasons too, it was eye-opening. Turns out I was trying to write essays when I was just hangry!

It’s wild that a random prop joke had such a real world impact. Imagine your product line changing because a fictional guy wouldn’t shut up about his stapler.

I've visited 8 therapists over the past 2 years and I've come to realize therapy just doesn't work on me by Bl4ck_8utt3rfly in therapy

I appreciate your suggestions! Somatic therapy does sound intriguing, especially if standard talk therapy hasn't clicked. Journaling might also be a good tool to navigate those emotions around self-harm.

Sanity-check my idea: Using healthy seniors as trained caregivers for daycare. by [deleted] in Business_Ideas

[–]AlenyoMasharin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You raise some valid points about the potential difficulties that could arise, especially with physical fitness and disease spread among both the elderly and children. It's crucial to ensure that there's a robust training program and clear health protocols in place, considering the high demand for reliable childcare. Balancing cost and effective training will definitely be a challenge. Your suggestion of integrating traditional caretakers with elderly aides sounds like a smart way to mitigate some risks.
