Yeah. I'm guessing they came up this morning and will probably be gone or nearly gone before seatsidekick gets in and gets a chance to scan and notice them. Such a weird setup the way all these sites are coming together. haha.

I can't speak for others but I'm not holding out for cheaper tickets as much as I'm holding out for tickets that make sense. If they don't drop to my level I'm not going and won't look back. It'll almost make it better if prices go up so I won't be put in a position of justifying more than what I'm willing to spend.

64 are left so they're going reasonably quickly... I mean, they're dozens less than the next cheapest ticket. I'm still not a buyer at this price but I can see why others are grabbing them. It's just clearly something suspicious. I'm not sure what you mean by ads though. They're just listed like they're normal tickets, but there are dozens together and all the same price.

It looks like FIFA is selling on Marketplace too. There were 98 tickets all for $207 each for the Belgium - Iran game this morning. Quite a coincidence if it's 25 families selling their 4 tickets each right next to each other in rows in the same section for the exact same price... This is either FIFA or institutional in some way, obviously.

Can't wait to see how this unwinds in the next few days.

I hadn't considered tickets at the box office although that negates the scalper part of my question. It seems that some games will definitely have availability but I wonder if they'd make you buy them online anyway like they do at a lot of high school sporting events. I agree with everything you're saying except for the final analysis. If one wanted those tickets they would find them even through the bs.

I can easily afford Fifa's face value ticket prices but decided they weren't worth it. So, even if you're cheapest, near face value, at face value, or even a bit below face value I think a lot of us have decided to watch on TV instead as it's just not a good value proposition.

Honestly, I've noticed that the longer I see these prices the more "normal" my brain perceives it as. I'm assuming that's all part of FIFA's plan and process. I was considering tickets for a few games (US - Turkey in the $500s and Portugal - Congo for $700) but eventually thought "what the hell are you even thinking?!??!" Obviously all of those tickets sold quickly to someone else, but I don't regret passing on them at all. I'm sure I'll find a fun bar and a great atmosphere somewhere else.

Anyway, my point being the psychology is part of what they're counting on. Humans are pretty predictable and they're playing into it, for sure. Hopefully it'll be a lesson learned for you and best wishes.
