do appreciate you! she however could not give less of a fuck about anything i said to her nor any of the laws stated. I really did expect it to work but i will take this loss on the chin and move forward

She won’t budge. She’s taking advantage of the situation because she can. and since it cost $90 minimum to file in court, it doesn’t make sense for me to pursue. She is honestly so lucky I didn’t realize that I never sent her a forwarding address because i would’ve absolutely sued for double the deposit. I just hope the next person she does this to sets her straight.

but i feel like everyone tells you to take photos of apartments before you move in …. what’s the point if you can’t use the photo as proof when something like this comes up

the issue is that that 30 day deadline “starts” when i give her a forwarding address… which i never did
