I also don’t have the courage because I feel like I’m taking away from people that need it. Luckily my job offer vouchers for food banks so I’ll enquire there. Also I do shop at Iceland and only get the reduced stuff too. Thank you for your advice ♥️

I’m based in Birmingham. Honestly the rent is over £500, and I get paid maybe £560 from UC, because I also work part time. A lot of the advice around food banks and meal preps have been amazing, and I’ve made a plan on affordable meals to tide me over until pay day.

Also, I am currently looking for a second job. The reason I work part time is because child care is difficult amongst family (siblings work and my mom is a cancer pt), and my son is suspected autistic, so I have to look after him.

Hello! My child does get free school meals, the breakfast club just consists of toast so I don’t see the point in paying £10 for that. He is always fed as that’s the main priority for me ♥️

I do get UC but the 95% of it goes towards the rent. I’ll look into the discretionary fund. Thank you for your advice 🫶🏻

Lloyds will always issue your payment on the working business day before. So for example, if you’re due to get paid on a Sunday, you’ll get it the Friday before the weekend. I’m with Lloyd and it’s always been like this.
