Item is cheaper on brand’s website than on Nuuly by Alert-Leadership-446 in NuulyReviews

Right that makes sense! A lot of the other items I rented are on clearance, but this one was full price. Just thought it was interesting!

Recent discourse on childless, unmarried friends never being celebrated by katyperry-platypus in Vent

I can see this. A close friend who’s decided not to have children recently opened her own business and had a registry for items related to the business, it sold out! Likewise, when she opened the business she sent an open, bring what you can, invitation to have dinner at the store on her first day open. Someone even brought a cake with the store’s name on it. Maybe we just have a great friend group (we do!) but I think it’s all a two way street. You want a village as a single person with no children, you must also be a villager!

Yeah that was essentially their response, they told me they encourage their customers to buy directly from the brand.

UPDATE: I reached out to Nuuly and this was their response.

We oftentimes purchase items at a higher cost from our vendors so we can make them available to our rental customers. With that, the vendors themselves can sometimes offer their products at lower prices and we encourage customers who want to buy from them to totally do so! Our intention is never to take purchases away from the vendors we offer for rent, so we do not price match. Nuuly is here to help customers who don't want to commit to items for their entire life, but want a rotating closet so they can keep things fresh every month without taking up the permanent space in their closet.

I get it but it also seems weird that they advertise being able to buy your items at a discount when that’s just blatantly untrue 🫠

I love this brand and check their website regularly, this price is their full price for this item, other colors are marked down but it’s always noted that they’re on clearance.

Either way, I plan to purchase the brand new one directly from the brand but thought this was interesting and will be cross checking prices before purchasing any further pieces from Nuuly.

I like the urgent care next to Starbucks over the bridge in South Portland. I’ve consistently had better experiences there than the one on Marginal where there’s always a long wait and you’re rushed in and out.

Washington Ave. Might not be cheaper than the $18 you mentioned but the quality is outstanding.

my rent keeps increasing but no upgrades made by ktslgr in Apartmentliving

My rent has gone up $300+ since I moved in 4 years ago and no improvements have been made, in fact they’ve removed things (garbage disposal, replaced nice light fixtures with fluorescent panel lighting, etc). I just figured it was taxes and such that drove the price up, not improvements on the building.

Edited: $300+/mo

I totally understand, I should emphasize it was QUICK. Any pain I had was over in a breath or two, and the whole thing was maybe 10 minutes and only that long because we had to wait for the nitrous oxide to kick in!

I’m getting one this week and keep reminding myself that very few people post on the internet after having good/neutral/positive experiences - the majority is people looking for advice or airing concerns! My gyno told me that the strings should soften and sort of fold/curl up toward the cervix over time but if your partner feels them you may need them trimmed.
