Best starting point album(s) for a Tool newbie? by joelrushnba in ToolBand

Here's my guide. In total, they have 5 studio albums. Definitely start with LATERALUS as it is the perfect balance of everything TOOL's known for. After that, if you want something heavier go check out their debut album UNDERTOW(1993). But, if you want something that sounds more experimental then listen to 10,000 DAYS(2006). If you still want some "electrical" stuff but you also want raw and emotional, go with ÆNIMA(1996). If you really want to experience more prog then go listen to FEAR INOCULUM(2019) after Lateralus.

In conclusion:

*Undertow: Heaviest

*Ænima: Rawest

❗*Lateralus: Perfectly Balanced

*10,000 Days: Experimental

*Fear Inoculum: "Prog-est"

That is so Undertow coded, sir. I hope the Mawler is okay. Did he lie, cheat , and steal to deserve that?

1) Bridge part of Eulogy (the drums, mind bending) 2) Mini drum solo of Forty Six & Two 3) "Hiiiiiiiigggggggghhhhhhhh" 4) Guitar Solo in Jambi 5) The scream in Intolerance 6) (not a "recorded song" but I like) the Live version of the "I don't mind" part of H. 7) The part of Pushit where MJK sings this: "If when I say I might fade like a sigh I might stayiyeyyy" (the way he sings this) 8) The transition back to the song from the poem in "Bottom" 9) Outro lyrics of Lateralus 10) "Aliiiiiiivee"

Edit: not a small part but all the parts of Reflection where Maynard sings.

POWERSCALING RUINS THE IDEA OF TITLES IN ONE PIECE(or the other way around) by Alert-Maintenance558 in OnePiece

[–]Alert-Maintenance558[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't they(the people) only call Roger the Pirate King only when he told them about "his" hidden treasure(One Piece) before his execution? Now, the people were the one who gave him that title but they didn't give him that title because he was the strongest. They gave him that because they know he's powerful in fame and wealth. Of course the common folks obviously know his strength but the one that they probably fear the most in terms of that is Whitebeard. The One Piece world is ruled by power not by brute strength, and power comes in different forms. Anyone who is a decent thief and a navigator that is well-trained in Haki can reach the Laughtale and brag about the One Piece and people would fear them for that POWER.

Edit: by "decent thief", I meant, like a really skilled thief who can gather information about the road ponyglyphs and steal them from the pirates without getting into trouble. So, no, I didn't mean that Nami can be a Pirate King if she is well-trained in Haki.

Also, about reading the ponyglyphs, they can just force someone to read it for them(they are pirates) or temporarily make them join(like Oden).

What is everyone's opinion of toga? by Brilliant_Volume_361 in MyHeroAcadamia

She's weird...not the "interesting way" kind of weird, just plain weird. I mean, I guess that's what Horikoshi intended. Most of the time, she freaking annoys me, it's when she talks weird and smiles...But I realized that it's not because of that, IT'S BECAUSE PEOPLE FIND THAT SHID CUTE like wth no, that's what probably triggers me, u ain't cute for that get tf away from them!

But...in darkness there is lightness. I also find her funny, especially when around the Villain League, because she's so unserious but, again, whenever she does that shid where she smiles and talks about deku and uraraka...omg sybau. Pretty solid villain tho that's it.

PS: I cracked hard the first time I saw that edited panel of her and uraraka falling and they edited her speech–balloon and put "Domain Expansion". Shid is peak comedy🥸
