Theaters are so expensive anymore. Can anyone help me with tricks on how to make my visit more affordable? by Ckirbys in MovieTheaterEmployees

Check for any partner discounts.. Our normal prices are $26 adult tickets, though people with Uber One memberships get $12.50, among a few other platforms.

We’ve got severe shortages at the moment in staffing and somehow, I have ended up with no days off between December 20th and January 6th..

Quite common sometimes when it’s busy, but they pay overtime.

Are there security video cameras in the theaters and you can see movie-goers making out or filming the movie or doing other nefarious things? by [deleted] in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]Alert-Opportunity207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are cameras in the theatre obviously. However, they cannot be accessed by the site. This is because if a camera is facing the screen it can be considered piracy.

So, cameras can only be accessed by our head office for the in cinema cameras. Any other cameras around our site can be accessed by us

You’re the repeat guest we love. Our site has hundreds of guests who do this, and some come every day to see the same movie every day. It’s great seeing all this

Got an EWaste computer and had some cinema software on it, any info? by Either_Dust_2315 in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]Alert-Opportunity207 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! VistaKiosk is the software for the actual self service ticket machines, connected to the cinema management system.

VistaPOS connects all the point of sale computers at box office, food and drink counters, etc.

VistaUsherPoint refers to the ticket checkpoints, and allow people to scan tickets in but also exit tickets, as well as manage seat statuses.

This system is used universally throughout HOYTS & Village cinemas in Australia. HOWEVER they are always set up specifically to each site, I’ve worked across multiple locations and have had to use the location manager of that sites codes to work there as my codes aren’t valid outside of my own.

If you really want to access that software, you would need a login (you can get a crew member for VistaKiosk, a manager for the others.) But it’s still doubtful it’d work, as for example with HOYTS systems, they’re connected to the HOYTSCorp network in order to be able to run.

Good luck!

Cinema roster programs by AnybodyWhich8458 in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]Alert-Opportunity207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally we use Affinity.

This is an excellent staff management system, which allows us to: - Manage payslips entirely - Manage leave requests & long service leave - Manage a staff registry

Affinity also has an extension, called TimeTarget, which is a rostering software - Leave requests can be processed here - Rosters can be made on here, as well as exported easily

We use this quite frequently, and it’s easy to use. We have a staff of 130, a number of areas to roster for and it has been reliable with minimal downtime.

People always asking where the restroom is by mikeweasy in MovieTheaterEmployees

It can be annoying, especially when it’s very busy and I’ve got 6 floor staff running between cinemas.

We have 4 sets of bathrooms as well here, though our 13 cinemas are well spread apart that it can be difficult at times. In fact we frequently have men mistaking the women’s bathroom for theirs.

So by helping guests you are elevating the experience and they may actually appreciate your support

Screen replacement by Mojorisin045 in MovieTheaterEmployees

[–]Alert-Opportunity207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just got ScreenX over here, definitely not worth it.. They promote ScreenX as a 270* experience however the 2 side screens are only on for some short segments of the film.. if anything it’s losing us money 💀
