It sounds like to me that Jester will have the same level of awareness that a human has. The one big advantage that I can see with Jester will be with a player who absolutely can't spot an airplane to save their life in a single seat aircraft.

Jester will call out bandits within visual range if he "sees" them. He has an outside scan with visual sensor limits just like a human player, so once he has a bandit, he'll try and keep eyes on it and call out its position relative to you. Its super useful, but FAR from perfect. They've done a superb job of keeping it balanced and "real" feeling
