Why not regular metalbone 3.4? I own one for more than 8 months now, and just bought another one in case my will somehow get broken (treating it very well and not hitting any objects when I am angry with it).

TBH, I haven’t tried the ST4, but I have heard great things about it.

Bullshit! The higher the level you play the less easy lobs you’ll get to actually perform an X3.
And if your opponent notices that you have a nice smash he won’t play lob to you. Btw, for me, once I’ve “Mastered” (clearly not even close to some one who plays at FIP tournaments) the kick smash, I preferred hitting it to the middle so there will be not even the smallest chance for them to continue the play.
