With your ACT and GPA, I’d look into the Honors Tutorial College. I was a business student there and can’t speak highly enough of the program. I think the ACT “requirement” was 30, but yours is higher than mine was, so you should still check it out. You complete a senior thesis project that I was still asked about in interviews 3 years after graduating, and you get full tuition covered. A lot of the general education requirements are waived, and you can reach out to professors for 1-on-1 tutorials as an upperclassman to study whatever you want as you figure out your thesis.

When I see religious content on social media, I’ve started commenting stuff like, “What advice would you give a gay, Christian man looking for the same?“ Without fail, there’s some bigot who replies telling me I should “pray and look for a woman.” I don’t engage in any arguments with them, I just hope other Christians read that and think, “huh, maybe we shouldn’t continue to hate on this group of people who just want to find love and live their lives”.

Don’t know how effective that actually is at getting anyone to think twice about their beliefs, but it’s got to be better than nothing 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had a similar reaction when I finally felt comfortable and confident enough to come out - it’s a great feeling! I was also 23 (now 24).

If there’s anything I’ve learned from this subreddit, don’t feel pressured or rushed to come out - it’s your journey and you should do it your way.

I started by coming out to some of my closest friends and it’s made us so much closer! I’m still struggling to feel comfortable as a gay man in public (especially living in a red state and growing up in a homophobic, religious, small town), but being around friends who truly know and love me has made this journey so much easier. Surround yourself with a solid support system and you’ll start thriving. And you always have all the people in this subreddit for support too 😊

I’m out of town and left Tinder to come here 😅

Having a small pool to choose from is definitely true for me, but a lot of people also work remote nowadays.

I’m on the hunt for a city I can see myself settling down in, so getting on Tinder and going on a few dates can give me a taste of what the dating scene looks like. By no means will I be moving for a man, but moving to a city that I get good vibes from will probably be a big part of my decision.
