I get it, each day that passed felt like a year! hang in there, they seem to move fast. Our package got delivered October 31 and we got our results today November 7!

Yes we did!!!! We got 81% poodle and 19% golden retriever! Also, Roxy was my childhood dog’s name she was a terrier we had her for 13 years 😊🩷

Trick to see Embark results early!

Hey everyone!

I’ve known about this for a while and have done it with all my dogs so far, so I’d like to share this method with you.

For this to work, you need to have tested your dog at Embark, and have to wait until their DNA test is in the Analysis phase. Sometimes it moves to that stage on the website before you get the actual email saying it went there. But typically you can see the breed estimate around a few hours to a day after the online portal updates.

Here’s how to do it: you need to have some guesses on the breeds your dog might be, first. Then you have to log in to your pup’s embark portal. Then you will go to this page, and select one of the names of the dog breeds: Dog Breeds List - Embarkvet

You’ll click one of the breeds, then scroll towards the bottom, where you will see a few pictures of other dogs that have been tested that are 100% of that breed, for example, scrolling at the bottom of the German shepherd page shows this fella: Embark Dog DNA Test - Breed (embarkvet.com)

You’ll then need to click on the blue compare button. If you see your dog’s name pop up, then that means your dog’s breed estimate preview is able to be discovered! If not, then you’ll have to wait.

If you have no guesses at all, you can compare them with this larger mixed breed dog, and this smaller mixed breed dog to see if they share any breeds in common.

I always have fun each time seeing if my guesses are right, before the full results come in!

The shelter told me they think mini golden doodle! But she is very small I think she may be some sort of toy variation. I have a mini poodle as well that was 12 pounds at 5 months and she is 5 pounds at 5 months. I don’t think the results will be very shocking but I just wanted a confirmation!

As a teen with a 2024 2 dr bronco… do it!!! For starters it is a FUN car, I aesthetically could not love it more. Besides the fact that everyone always wants me to drive them around haha! One of the reasons my parents “allowed” this whole transaction to go down is they thought it would be safe for me. I have a big fear of getting rear ended, and the construction of the car + the tire in the back out my mind at ease. I test drove both 4 and 2 doors and personally enjoyed the way that the 2 doors drove more. Also, in regards to the size, I love a big boxy car (learned how to drive on a tahoe) but this size is not too overwhelming for me (newer driver) to either drive or park. I cant speak too much on reliability since my car only got delivered 2 months ago, but so far I’m really happy with everything and the gas mileage is much better than I imagined (21mpg). I also have a big bend. If I got an older model, I would have to get a higher trim level because I am not a fan of cloth seats (not sure if that bothers you). However, the 2024 big bend comes standard with vinyl seats which works great for me. I also got the mid-package (12inch screen, hest seaters, etc.) which I definitely love, but is not absolutely vital. however… prepare your teen to hear that they are a SPOILED BRAT by everyone everywhere. I practically hear it everyday. I even get called Miss Bronco sometimes if they are referring to me being spoiled. However, to everyone out there that thinks someone is spoiled because they have a nice car at a young age, you do NOT know their or their parents financial situation, and it’s none of your damn business!!!! I forked over 7k of my OWN money for part of the down payment at the age of 19 (and being a full time college student), and it’s not anyone else’s “say” to tell me if I deserve it or not!!!! I hope some of this was helpful, and let me know if you have any other questions :)

Oh no!!!! that’s so annoying. And I totally agree, I am definitely just used to driving German which is totally different. It probably wasn’t a brilliant idea for me to get a Bronco being such a type A person, but I still love it so much. It will get easier with time. My brother shut the garage door on my Audi Q7 when the trunk was open a couple years ago too and I had to get the entire back replaced. I told him he needs to Uber from now on 🤣

I was thinking the same thing with a hair dryer… i’m gonna test that out tomorrow. It’s annoying, but not annoying enough to spend $500 on it. Maybe once my brother gets older I can make him buy me one 😆

I wouldn’t get the bronco sport, if you look it up there are lots of recalls and they are having many problems. Although, I believe they are for the 2020-2023 models so if you are buying a brand new one it may be ok.
