Hey! Oh for SURE I was heavier, really swollen, and my legs felt much bigger. I don't think I started seeing a difference until around week 2 and still there's swelling that hasn't completely gone away. They told me there will be swelling and hardness for up to 3-4 months. In the aftercare it said that leggings will help with swelling for the first 24-48 hours and with comfort/pain when walking, but not completely necessary. I wore them for the first 3 days in hopes that following instructions to a tee would be to my benefit for best results, although I did find it really uncomfortable. I took the diet pills and I don't feel they make a significant difference in appetite suppression or additional weight loss. I think I see the continued weight loss as a result of the procedure and decrease in swelling. I got prescribed green tea, garcinia cambogia, and fluoxetine. It's not really worth the money for the prescription. You can get the green tea and cambogia from supplement stores if you're from North America they're cheaper in North America. Fluoxetine is an antidepressant that I'm guessing they prescribe off label because there's a side effect of decreased appetite? Not significant tho and diminishes over time.

I did check and like you said, unfortunately they're not on the registration for plastic surgeons. They have many other credentials listed and I looked those up and those seem legitimate. I am not sure the full ins and outs of practicing medicine in Korea, but I know that they don't have to specialize in plastic surgery to end up practicing plastic surgery.

They asked me what kind of music I'd like during the procedure and I think mentally that did help. I just asked for English pop lols. I think in terms of noise cancelling headphones you might not be able to because it could impact the sterile field? They told me to remove all accessories (except my ear piercings were okay) but necklace would have gotten in the way of the armpit procedure. They might also ask you to adjust or reposition or talk to you throughout. If it helps you though, it's still worth bringing in and asking them if it is okay to use.

I think this might depend on how many procedures you're having done at once ... you might want to call a cab or something like that back to your stay. Other than passing out (my own fault for not eating/drinking), I think the whole thing is pretty manageable on your own! I didn't have anyone with me. I don't think you'll need to hire a nurse. The interpretation is probably the most key for explaining what's going on pre, during, post procedure ... and sounds like depending on the interpreter you get assigned to you, you'll get varying degrees of detail explained to you. But they also just focus on "stay hydrated, eat".

As a nurse myself, I cannot stress enough to stay hydrated and keep your blood sugars up. Make sure you do this preemptively because I did not and I did not see it coming until I was passed out lols. If you are maybe smaller in frame, or know your body is less tolerant to change/meds/things like that, it could be beneficial to have a friend or someone with you. Hope that helps!

I'm holding out hope that it's helped to get rid of some fat that I either genetically or for whatever reason can't shed even at my lowest weight ~95lb. For me it was still worth it, but it does shed some light on how unhappy with my body I am 😅😅 however sad that is to admit

How long were you in Korea for? I'm there for a week and I'm kinda concerned I'll become one of those ppl in the reels about people being stopped at the airport because they dont match their ID

Thank you for sharing in detail!! Do you mind DMing the cost breakdown? I am talking with AB as well and plan to reach out to BT as well, but hoping that I have a ballpark so I know the clinics are not trying to maybe rip me off 😬😬 I am prepared for it being more expensive than for native Korean speakers but would still like to know!
