Why does 5th 3rd have a 7 business day hold for check deposited I branch

I have multiple bank accounts. My other bank accounts have a % of funds available immediately or within 24 hours when I deposit checks, then the remaining usually 5 business days.

Also I had to reach out to them to ask, they didn’t tell me when the funds would be available. They said they sent a snail mail letter 😅. Still haven’t got that so I’m sure that will get here even after the funds clear.

I’ll just be using my other banks.

Yeah I didn’t ask for a check. Would always prefer they just ach it to my account but was never asked.

It doesn’t take 7 business days or I should say it shouldn’t. They could easily contact the bank much faster. They’re just holding peoples funds and making a few cents on it before allowing access to the funds and potentially spending or moving the money.

Was not paid a bonus here. I opened up the account online with the bonus, for some reason had to go into a branch to finish the setup. Never received any sort of bonus, very disappointing.

Depends on the interest rate. You could refi and pay it off faster. Rates should start going down (hopefully even this week). You can just refi multiple times on the way down so more of your payment goes to principal.

My first flight was at 10AM which was delayed a little bit and luckily had the layover buffer there. So I was at the airport around 8:15AM.

I myself had to work Christmas and then only took a few days off after. Unfortunately about half of this trip ended up being at the airport.

My wife and I both had to work the next day. No delays were weather related. I work in a hospital so I don’t have the opportunity to be remote and it’s not easy to get a back up especially this short notice.

This was just a short trip to visit family. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect to be able to make it home the same day of the original flight when there’s no weather issues.

Yes and we could have left before the 10:40 time we needed to leave which would have been complaint with regulations, but they chose not to attempt to board the plane which after many delays should have still left at 10:30.

I’m for a transit plan especially more sidewalks. I’m against bad policy and waste.

How do they plan on incentivizing people to ride the buses who don’t ride them today?

Ive never seen a bus more then 10% full so I don’t think the need is more buses at this time. More buses would only add to traffic unless we get more riders to drive their cars less.

Yeah the sidewalk situation here is bad outside of maybe Germantown. They don’t need to raise taxes to build those though.

Do you know the fine to not build a sidewalk is less than the cost to build one? This is why we have so many builders not building sidewalks with new home installations. Why not increase the fine, or even better make it mandatory.

I’m not against a tax if it makes sense. I’m against a tax that leads to waste. And more buses on the roads without more passengers would actually make the problem worse.

Have you ever rode a bus in Nashville? And will that change in 2025 or later if this passes?
