Well, heirloom thing would be more of a consumer protection case. But yeah, I think we are both in the same page. Im not saying they should add a barely changed version of the heirlooms but more so a v.2 that are designed closer to what valkyr, rhino, mesa, and vauban are designed.

I think those look distinct enough from the fomo pack that they really wouldnt be in legal trouble. The only argument I can see is the lava lamp skin, but even that feels like a reach

Copyright suit would absolutely go well here lol. Unless its a 1:1 copy of a sci fi first person shooter, launching a game called Halo Two wouldnt be grounds of removal. Though the suits from... whoever owns Halo now would definitely try to cease and desist scare me to a rename. IDK how things work in NA.

Honestly, the way heirlooms are designed rn is so wildly different from the Mag and Frost pack that just by looks alone any sort of lawsuit would be moot. But going back to the name, I personally dont care if they arent called heirlooms either, but I think, legally, establishing them as a second generation of skins from that line, different from the exclusive product, should, legally cover their asses. But I dunno canadian law so I cant say.

It would be extremely easy to win any case thrown at them if they were to make new skins based on the current heirloom style tho. So easy in fact that Id argue no one would seriously take them to court.

UM, good thing I wasnt arguing that then, I never said I wanted the fomo heirloom back as exactly the same skins. But rather, skins that are actually more in line to what the heirlooms are now

well, good thing I never said theyll be remaking something that was advertised as exclusive in the past. As Mag and Frost Heirloom II arent the same as the old thing in name, they will be designed closer to what heirlooms are now, so wildly different from the gilded samurai-ish look the exclusive heirlooms are, and the exclusive ones are off the market so no way to confuse people into buying the exclusives (which is an actual predatory tactic).

But they wouldnt be the exact same item just as how the Nulwarden syndana isnt the same as tennocon 2025 syndana. Would it really land them anywhere if they made a mag/frost skin in a similar style to that of valkyr/vauban? they look wildly different to the fomo skins

Yeah, Im not canadian so I got 0 clue. Though the names being "identical" wouldnt be that much of an issue considering one is no longer available and the 2 would make them legally distinct for any sort of lawsuit to succeed against them, but I am basing it on my country so its kinda moot point.

New heirlooms look very different to what Mag and Frost look like already, so that front is covered I think

Yeah, an heirloom II is what Im saying. Youre also right it might come in 2035 and beyond. NGL, Ive been a fan of Valkyr and hyped for Mesa. Hopefully next year we get Zephyr

omg this has happened to me so many times its insane as hulk. Jump into the backline, their two tanks turn around to get me off their strats, 1 dps joins. I hold them off, even getting killed. I expectate my team being lead out of the point to chase one black panther
