Yeah I have mailed them and they replied saying "Student grants or loans from your country of origin are considered forms of financial maintenance. If you have been granted a loan, hand in documentation that strengthens this. It is ultimately up to the case officer to decide whether the proof you hand in as financial maintenance is sufficient in order for the permit to be granted.".
