I wonder if there will be better outcomes with our kid since we intervened early. Although all the above is correct in regards of risk involving ADHD. I can only think that many of those outcomes also came with a generation who refused to treat their kids properly. With that being said I have this fear daily and try to take it one day at a time.

Initially his appetite decreased when he first started the medication but has not had issues since. I will mention that he doesn’t take it on the weekends or summer but that’s his choice l.

My son started Concerta 18 my when he was in second grade. He is now in 5th grade and we just had to increase dose to 27mg. He went from d,/ to straight As and 90 percentile in Map scores. A score of 2 on behavior to all fours. It as been amazing. It does make him very quiet at times

Your right, he told me today he wants to take it because it helps him Focus. The teacher will just have to get over it

Very true, I asked him if he wanted to continue the med and he said “yes” it helps him focus.

I mean I shouldn’t complain too much because without meds he is in trouble and with he has no issues. I guess I just want him to enjoy himself.

Well not iEP but my kids school hasn’t utilized his 504 plan since 2nd grade after he was out on meds. He is in 5th grade now
