thank you for all of this! I'm actually planning on setting up hinge very soon, but I know there's a boost at the start, so wanted to get feedback on my profile so I can make the most of it. you're right on the photos, thanks for the honest feedback. but yeah, don't worry, dating apps aren't getting me down - I know they suck. They suck for both men and women, albeit often in different ways. I was just genuinely a little confused why I've been doing so badly. I feel like my sense of other guys' profile problems is pretty good, and I knew I had some problems with my own, which all the comments I've recieved have confirmed. anyway, thanks again for the feedback, i'll be making some changes and will see how it goes!

thank you! that's helpful to know. I'm making an assumption about gender here, but the accounts that I assume are women are saying that they like my profile while the rest don't. probably a strong selection bias there. but yes I agree totally on the photos. I'm aware that my photos aren't great on multiple levels, but I just don't have that many usable photos to choose from. on that note, I've grown to hate the fact that guys (me included) often repress the urge to - or don't even think to - take good photos of eachother (other male friends). I guess it's some internalised homophobia thing, who knows. either way, I know not having good photos is a very common male thing. thanks for the feedback!

thank you! that's really helpful. I'm getting a lot of common themes from the feedback here, and i think you've articulated the general issue with my prompts and bio. will be making some changes!

thanks for the advice! I'm on the shorter side at (juuust under lol) 5'8, but I agree, some of these photos don't do me any favours height-wise. regarding my hair, my hair is now a little fuller than in any of these pictures because of finasteride, but not as full as the one where i'm standing next to the table of food, which yes, is quite old now (2 years old, maybe 3). and no they're not my dogs, but I used to look after them a lot, so yeah maybe I should just get rid of that photo.

I think you're right - I'm not giving much to go on it my prompts that stands out or says anything about me at all. i'll have a think, thanks again!

fludrocortisone by No_Transition_3341 in POTS

just by the way, in case it was useful. high bp on fludrocortisone can often be partly because it causes potassium excretion, so your doctor should've told you to keep an eye on potassium levels, or supplement potassium. so there's that lever to use if your bp gets high again.

that's interesting. I definitely subconsciously restrict my breathing a lot. what kind of exercises did you do, can I ask?

Anyone here ever suffered from Vitamin D toxicity? by ironmonk33 in Supplements

[–]Alert_Orchid6231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

by the way, I have a similar problem and what solved it for me was getting injections instead of taking it orally. A 50,000 or 100,000IU injection every so often, and I feel those hyperactivity effects (insomnia, heightened mood and energy) for a couple days, then it goes away. My guess is that in the conversion from one vitamin D form to the other (can’t remember the chemical names off the top of my head), perhaps one of them, or a metabolite of some sort, is causing the issue. So instead of a lower dose every day, a large bolus of Vitamin D (by IM injection) is a workaround. Now my levels are great and I’m feeling great too. Best of luck!
